It's about the journey not the destination. (And isn't it more like "over"?)

This is coming up really soon and I can't emphasize enough how entertaining this is if you are a Paul F. Tompkins fan. It's a must-see show.
better late than never... here's a bit of a short recap of the show. it's been a couple days and my memory is horrible, so hopefully someone can fill in the blanks of what went on. Either way, it's an awesome show and anyone who has NEVER attended and is a fan should be ashamed.
spoiler alert
guests of the night included sara and sean watkins, ted leo, ed helms, paul scheer & rob huebel, weird al, and david allen gruber.
after PFT introduces the show behind the curtain as John C. Reilly (sounding so accurate people loudly cheered in the audience), dave gruber allen comes out and does this spoken word to a medley of songs to warm up the crowd.
pft opens up the show by singing All The Things That I've done by The Killers.
Paul Scheer & Rob Huebel play two pizza delivery role players interrupting some quiet reading time between pft & ed helms.
special surprise musical guest, ted leo, does a couple songs.
The show closes out with some Pogues songs, including Tuesday Morning, which he dedicated to his lady, Janie (who may or may not have been in the audience).
pft shamefully going over the painful process of making his Largo postcards.... in Microsoft Word. After the photos I sent him were high in res and killed Word, he eventually admitted to asking April Richardson for help.
some funny people in the audience.
and last but not least, some awesome Thank You swag for taking pictures of the show!

Awesome pictures, Liezl (as always).
This show is on Saturday! Dave Foley will be a guest... and a somewhat of a surprise musical guest!
Something tells me if you google those capitalized words you may unlock the mystery!@PFTompkins: And my secret musical guest, who's a bit of a BEAST, but a NOBLE one. Too MYSTERIOUS? Come see me PRODUCE him!
about 5 hours ago via TweetDeck
The "Mysterious" musical guest is what finally put it over the top for me. I have been waiting for him to return to Largo. Cannot wait for this.
PFT + Dave Foley + Mysterious and Noble guest = an absolutely unmissable show.
This show just gets more and more fun to shoot...
Before curtains open, PFT introduces the show as John Lithgow.
"This show will break your brain..."
Then sings his theme song.
James Adomian as Maximillian Blanc makes an appearance, and presents PFT with some wedding gifts, some poetry, and an impression of PFT, which sounded more like an indian Yogi Bear.
musical mystery guest, andrew bird, sings It's Not Easy Being Green, in french, followed by a new song, then a duet of The Balled of John and Yoko with PFT.
Dave Foley, while throwing a bachelor party for PFT and using it to publicly endorsing his new product sponsorship of Strawberry Crush, reveals himself to be a tool of the government brainwashed into extolling the praises of marriage, tries to use his last breath to convince paul that marriage is a bad idea.
Google Transcriptions!
PFT tries to pawn off the extra soda to andrew bird.
Mr. Dave Foley posing with my bottle of soda. I thought it was odd that out of the whole PFT show cast and Largo crew, I was the only one on board with drinking this stuff. Everyone else found it to be utterly disgusting... while I described it as liquid candy.
Oh well... I stand my ground on its deliciousness.

Dave Gruber Allen goes over the rules of largo and the PFT show.

If the stars align, and heavens gate open a crack, there is a very good chance I'll finally be going to Paul's show on June 19th.
This was one of the most fun shows I have ever been a part of; thanks to Paul, Eban, Acker, and everyone that was involved with making this show happen. Thanks to all your fine, friendly faces for showing up and laughing with us. Singing that song at the end was so much fun.
