PFT is the best. Michael Penn is the best. If you live in L.A. and do not attend this show, you are admitting defeat. Life defeat.

If I promise not to use a flash, is photography ok?

It's okay with me, but Largo might have a policy about it. I THINK they just don't want you to take flash pictures.

They don't search you before you go in, but they do remind you repeatedly that photography is prohibited. Once before you go through the gates with a couple posted signs then once more before the show.

Not sure what they do to you if you get caught though.

(I've never tried to take photos, Flanagan scares me.)

I'd be prepared to be kicked out if you're caught taking a picture, even without a flash. The "no electronica" policy includes cameras, and the only time I've seen that loosened up was in the last week of shows at the old Largo (but even then we were told to put them away after a set period of time).

    So ... I wouldn't recommend trying it!

Boy oh boy. I don't want anyone to get kicked out!

If you can't take pictures during the show, there is always after the show, in the courtyard, where everyone from the show will be. You won't get those "action shots", but if you just want a document of the night, that's your best bet.

And I meant to add that I wouldn't try to do it surreptitiously, but you could always try asking in advance -- you won't get kicked out just for asking. :-) You might be told you could take a picture or two at the beginning of the show as long as PFT was OK with it (or something like that). Stranger things have happened ...

Anyway, I have seen people kicked out of Largo for texting, talking loudly after being warned, etc., so I would just never recommend trying to do it on the sly unless you want Michael to threaten to kick you out (or worse).

I think I'll just enjoy the show and maybe take some photos later. I just wasn't sure if the policy was different from, say, UCB... which it is. I respect what they are trying to do and appreciate avoiding a potential photo-tastrophy!

You might be able to get away with it if you wore a Steve Agee costume.

    I. Am. There.

Paul, would it be cool if I sat up front in a "Get Ready To Meet My Little Friend" t-shirt yelling "PFT and FOT: Together Forever!!" the whole time?

That show was insanely fun and hilarious. I had no idea!

My only complaint: Michael Penn's pants were too tight.

The PFT show never disappoints -- that's the show I most look forward to every month. Glad you enjoyed it too!

An incredible show. I never thought I'd see/hear Michael Penn sing Highway to Hell.
