Sometimes the greatest geniuses arehidden right before our eyes. Vincent van Gogh only sold one painting in hislifetime and was so frustrated he cut off his ear. >

On Saturday, August 11, 2012 A.D. at 8p.m., the Class of Chicago Comedy Festival, Radiotitans.com, Pabst beer and theWestside Comedy Theatre are taking an important step to save another geniusfrom the same fate as van Gogh. His name is Willy Laszlo, and he is acomedy-short filmmaker extraordinaire whose work has touched the lives ofthousands with laughter when he really deserves to be bowling over billions ofour fellow Earthlings. >
>
A renowned adventurer, philanthropist, and champion of comedy wherever it is endangered, Laszlo has directed at least39 and as many as 40 comedy shorts over the past two decades. He has wonawards, created a film festival (the Chicago Short Comedy Video and FilmFestival) and fed millions of children through his fundraising video “Just LetThem Eat, Dammit.” (OK, he did two of those last three things – we’ll let youguess which ones).>
>
But like all great geniuses, Laszloalso engaged in a period of retreat from the world, replenishing his godlikegifts while surrounded by the majestic surroundings of Macchu Picchu. While there,he found the inspiration for his latest film, “Telepathic Bowling,” andensuring that the planet can once again laugh freely, loudly anduncontrollably. >
