Have not met Manny yet... Sure I will at some point this year.

I do get Dodger access, just not as much as I did with the Yankees. For a non-media friend of the team I was able to be a part of some pretty cool things.

    Re: Brody's Baseball Bazaar

Now to my AST Thread Blog...

Just returned from Pasadena, which is a nice break from LA. Off from Chelsea Lately today where I do warm-up daily and my 5th panel on August 21st.

Sure I only work one hour a day, down from two, but it's skilled pressure labor with a high bar of difficulty. First off, funny or not, you need to put out energy, and I do that and then some. I know no other way. Then you have to adopt the crowd... black, Asian, white. No No!! I mean ADAPT to the crowd... black, white, Armenian, man, woman, OC, IE, SD, West Hollywood and middle America with zero sports references.

I have over 1,400 tapings under my belt (34 inches from Lucky Brand Jeans and Dungarees).

Bottom line, I'm slightly burnt out, spread too thin, need a vacation.

    Seriously.

Stop whining you say??!! Did you get picked on in public school and private camp? Am I supposed to attack others or take the cruel kids remarks to heart? Seriously, sucks being nice and loyal. Gotta be a prick sometimes, which I'm not. People may think I am, but I'm not. Within the context of a show, performers need a one hour buffer before and after professional events to let emotions and mannerisms recoil back down to acceptable levels of communication.

When I'm performing with juices flowing, I'm not gonna learn new names and facts, that's just a FACT. See me in public at a store or walking down a tree lined street, at a party or pilot presentation wrap gala, I'm all smiles dishing off topics and compliments like a point guard at the local JCC.

Bottom line, come out Friday Night at 8pm in UCB @ LA...

-We've got Eddie Pepitone doing his thing, a Yankee fan who speaks his mind

-Jonny Spanish of the Sopranos and Animal Factory who sold programs at Veterans Stadium for the Phillies and Eagles

-Rob Delaney, a man who sings the National Anthem at Fenway Park and Dodger Stadium, sharing his wisdom and insight, featured on Diamond Vision

    -Joe Wagner as "The Umpire"

Denver Smith, maybe a softball chick, Dodger Dave and Ronnie, plus me doing my thing.

    Re: Brody's Baseball Bazaar

Bought Dodger Dogs last night... got 12, need buns and cooking device.

Is there a George Foster Grill at UCB?

George Foster, 52 Home Runs in 1977 when going deep meant something. For the Reds at Riverfront in Cincinnati.

Was Johnny Fever there? Less Nessman keeping score in the WKRP Suite? Which takes me back to the famous Softball episode with Less in Right Field. Does he catch the ball? How does the show end? Like a Kramer vs. Kramer or The White Shadow when the mentally disabled kid shoots the ball, and we as the home viewer must visualize and create our own closing credits.

Again, free hand journaling here, for you the AST reader.

Dammit all to hell! Tell a friend and let's get at least 25 bodies in here! My LA comedy reputation is on the line.

I just snapped. I'm blaming my second cup of coffee and a Twinkie.

    We got Eddie Pepitone
Rob Delaney singing the National Anthem
Dodger Dave and Ronnie --> real life vendors from Dodger Stadium
    me
Denver Smith on audio --> a name like that breathes baseball
    peanuts
Jonny Spanish --> UCB original family member, great person
    videos, songs, stupidity

And JOE WAGNER as "The Umpire" ---> Youuuu'reeee Ouuutttaaa Heeeerrrreeee!

Is that how you type umpire speak?

Bottom line, I get chuckles and Mindy Sterling thinks I'm funny.

I'll be at your show, Brody. I still think you went too busy with your flyer (Shoulda just been the baseball with the info written on it. But, hey, I'm not into sports...I'm just into Brody).

This is going to be great. Everyone should go. **

When passions collide... Brody's really giving us a look into "his world" with this one. I urge everyone who's ambulatory to go. I checked the scouting reports on B. Stevens, Pitcher, and it says he's "got a farm-boy build" and that he's "smooth with the leather." But don't take my word for it. Explode!

I tried to make this smaller...

Isn't Steve Agee a great guy??!!

    Re: Brody's Baseball Bazaar

Can see the show in my head, picking out music, think I'll throw on some baseball pants and stuff (no, not STUFF my pants). Since my car wreck I haven't been able to partake in pitching related activities. Strength, agility and reflexes are returning though, might look good in a unit.

I think it will be a funny show, structure and execution frighten me, also lack of public interest.

    Gotta call Dodger Dave.

    And Joe Wagner.

Let me add, yes I have/had a strong baseball throwing arm, was a pretty good pitcher when healthy, but I ran goofy and walked with a gait.

Don't think I'm gay, still bothers me to this day.

    Re: Brody's Baseball Bazaar

I enjoyed this show, even though I'm not a big sports fan.. very loose format. Lots of drumming, a freestyle rap, baseball trivia, and joe wagner dancing...

it was a celebration of all things Brody.

Eddie Peppitone argues with Joe Wagner, the umpire of the night.

Brody with Jonny Spanish and Rob Delaney, talking about the differences in singing at Dodger Stadium vs Fenway.

He asks an audience member to randomly pick out some baseball trivia.

Yes, that is a drumstick in his umpire mask.
