    That is a fantastic lineup!

Btw, I'm new here...are you in the biz here in Wisconsin? Is there a good place to buy tickets? And also, is there a good place to check for comics in Madison (not that I'm averse to driving to Milwaukee for a show as good as Kroll, Cenac, and Thune)?

Thanks so much for the info!
    Make your peace with God.

    Re: Milwaukee Comedy

I do improv at the Alchemist Theatre, but that's the extent of my participation in the biz.

In Madison, I know they have a comedy club on State Street, but the Barrymore and the High Noon Saloon are the places where I know comedians have visited recently. Tim and Eric were at the Barrymore and Eugene Mirman was at High Noon Saloon.

Unfortunately there isn't a ton of comedy that comes to Milwaukee/Madison.

Any open mics happening next week Monday 3/8 or Tuesday 3/9? I will be in town and will need an excuse to get out of my hotel room.

    Or local talent showcases? Thanks!

There's a music/spoken word open mic at the Miramar Theater (http://www.themiramartheatre.com/home/)

There's also a standup spotlight thing at a place called Mikey's (http://www.mikeysmilwaukee.com/standup/index.asp) It wouldn't hurt to e-mail them to see if you can get on the show.

I must disagree! I can't speak for Madison, but more and more headliners are making there way to town. And the local comedy scene is growing as well. I will admit, it can be hard to track down everything comedy related in Milwaukee, but it IS happening with more frequency.

Sweet, thanks for coming to Madison Doug.

Our film festival is playing during your time here, and most of the theatre's are within walking distance of the club you're playing.

Maybe a road version of "I Love Movies?" I know the director of the fest.

Since this is Milwaukee thread and I'm in Wisconsin today, I've gotta give much love to Nate Ford. He's absolutely hilarious. He will be opening for Mr. Benson and Mr. Elwood when they get up here.

I'm going to float this out here...if you are free this Friday night at 10pm, I can't recommend checking out my show LeeRick at the Alchemist Theatre enough. We have a secret opening act that is sure to delight. It's only $5...please consider it as a comedic alternative to Summerfest.
