I've never been to the Buckhead Theater, but I won't be able to say that on May 8th without being a liar.

Hmmm, I may try and go to the Buckhead Theater show. I have to make sure I can make it down, though.

I will spread the word in Greenville, but everyone will think I'm joking.

Let us know if you make it down! I haven't been to this theater since it's been restored and renamed, but in the past, it was always a cool venue for rock shows and I think Stanhope played there in one of the place's earlier incarnations.

Yeah, I'll let you know, I'm originally from Atlanta, and moved to Knoxville for my job(boo), but I never heard of this theater before.

Are you from Atlanta? It says New York next to your tag.

Born and raised in Atlanta, but I moved to NYC when I was 18. My Mom and a lot of relatives still live in Atlanta, so I get home a few times a year and always try to see live comedy when I'm down there because it's so much cheaper to see a headliner show.

Bringing a carload from Auburn for the Buckhead Theatre show.

Thankfully coming to my hometown. Now I just need to get the night off of work.

This was great, I don't think it's been mentioned here but he's touring with a handful of Southern comedians (and one LA guy) whose names I would post if I could remember all of them at the same time. One of those cosmic alignments where everyone was at least amusing if not hilarious, and then of course Kyle destroyed. If you can get to the last two shows in Athens and Atlanta, prioritize that shit.

Great show tonight. Despite the assholes who wouldn't shut up in the front. A group that that truly defies the southern stereotype.

    PBR, yeah!

As frustrated as they made me as an audience member, I thought everyone handled those people really well. We were in the corner opposite them, on the other side of the stage, and we could hear them, so there's no way the performers didn't hear them. Karl Hess plowed through and ignored them really well without missing a beat, and Kyle acknowledged them in a great way.

I enjoyed everybody, but Dave Stone and Paul Gallois were really, really great.

    CORTIZONE!

Yeah I agree, it was handled well. I was on the other side of the stage as well in my now instant collector's item CDR shirt.

Ive seen most of those guys before at the Laughing Skull. I'll never get tired of the dramatic monologues that Justin Morgan does. NEVER.

-mumbled drunk nonsense which leads to getting called the special kid-

Great show! Yeah, annoying that we had a couple of drunkies, as Kyle called them after the show, but he handled it beautifully. I was in the back sitting on a stool, so I could not hear the disruptors except when a performer got a bit quiet. I'd never seen any of these folks before, except Kyle, so yes, Paul Galois and Dave Stone were good (they should team up and do a redneck Sklars bit), and I liked Karl Hess a lot, but he deserved more time than he got.

But let's not lose focus: Kyle continues to be a revelation and a rising star. I saw him in New York six months ago, and save for a proto version of one bit he did last night about his friend back home, everything else was new--and killer. Such a great writer. So glad I got to see him, and he could not have been nicer after the show.
