C4: The Court Center Comedy Competition!

45 comedians. Whittled down to 10. Competing for the winner-take-all grand prize of $1000, with the Top 3 opening for Jake Johannsen at the Grand Finale Showcase for the Iowa Comedy Festival!

Prelim rounds: Sept. 23rd, Sept. 30th, Oct. 7th (all at 8:30pm)

Finals: Thursday, Oct. 14th (8:30pm)

Entry fee is only $10 for the chance to win $1000!

RULES:

- 15 comedians will be performing in each prelim week.

- In the prelims, each comedian will get 5 minutes. In the Finals, each comedian will get 7 minutes.
1) Comedians who go 1-9 seconds over their time will not be penalized. 10-29 seconds over will result in a 10-point deduction. 30 seconds and over will be an automatic DQ.

- We will be taking the Top 3 comedians from Week 1 and 2; we will be taking the Top 4 comedians from Week 3.

- Prelim rounds will be decided by an audience vote:
1) Each audience member will be given a ballot with all of the night's performers' names on it
2) Members of the audience must vote for three (AND ONLY THREE) comedians in Weeks 1 and 2 and four (ONLY FOUR, NO MORE NO LESS) in Week 3. This is the most objective way we can do an audience vote.

- The Finals will be judged by a panel of 5 judges. Those judges will include comedy insiders, local Des Moines media personalities, and the like.
