I'm in Santa Fe, and I think there's maybe one bar that sort-of does open mic nights, but other than that it's mostly old people and pottery. I need to go up to ABQ more often.

You should! There's gonna be a new open mic starting every other Tuesday in Albuquerque at Paparazzi (9401 COORS BLVD. NW Albuquerque, NM).

I've been wanting to try comedy now for years. Was gonna do an open mic back in the day when the Laugh Factory was still in Abq... Ah i miss that place...anywho's How long are the sets for that open mic @ Paparazzi every tuesday? Just wanna make sure how much material i would potentially need.. How long have u been doing comedy btw?

Hey Mase!

Sets at Paparazzi are usually 5 min long, but sometimes can be 10 min long, depending on turnout. Our open mics there are every other week, with our next one being on the 31st. If you're feeling adventurous and impatient, there is an open mic in Santa Fe at the El Paseo bar this next Tuesday, the 24th. That's run by a guy named Dan Monroe (facebook.com/drmonroe.fe), and he's very friendly and awesome (he also gives free drinks to the performers!).

Today is actually my one year anniversary of doing comedy! It's been a crazy whirlwind grouping of 365 days. Comedy has really started to bust out in our fine city, so you're coming out at a great time!

I have been going to Santa Fe, NM to visit family for years, but the only comedy I knew of was Laffs. This is so great to see all the comedy that someone can see in New Mexico. I'll be there in November and will be checking a lot of it out. Pizza party!

I'm excited that we'll have a fellow ASTer in our neck of the woods. Do you have any videos of performances? I could talk w/ some friends and maybe get a show together for you. Just lemme know. At the very least you should make it out to an open mic or 2.

The most important point in yoga for a beginner is to breathe correctly during the postures.
