2011 Comedy Improv Throw Down Festival - August 19-21 Call for submissions

    REGISTER HERE: http://dontbreakthestreak.com/festival/register.html

Plan on attending the 2011 Comedy Improv Throw Down August 19-21 and perform in our spacious 200 seat theater with restaurant and bar service! Everything is in ONE LOCATION! Workshops, competitions, evening shows, restaurants, bar and hotel! Last year we had 16 teams compete. This year we will have 32! Get your registration in early as half of the longform slots have already been filled. Register before it's too late! Did I mention we also offer FREE PARKING in our own lot?!?!

TWO different competitions - One for shortform and one for longform! ($1,000.00 in total prize money provided all 32 slots are filled!)

This is where all the info will be for registering but mark your calendars for the 2nd annual Comedy Improv Throw Down. August 19-21 at the Harrisburg Comedy Zone. Last year's champions ShawnMikael(s) will be performing Friday night at 10:30 at the Harrisburg Comedy Zone as well as teaching one of our many workshops. Rumor has it registration is going to be $100 per team wishing to compete and $20 per person at the door for 3 days filled with improv competitions, workshops, evening shows and drinking with other improv troupes all weekend! Ask any of the 16 teams who were here last year and they'll all tell you it was one of the best venues they've ever played in! Park Friday night and you don't have to get in your car until you're heading home Sunday night! Everything is on site and YOUR Improv ALL ACCESS Pass is only $20 per troupe member for the weekend! Come with part of your troupe or all of your troupe or come by yourself!

Two great restaurants right on property, a fully stocked bar and a hotel all right here at the Harrisburg Comedy Zone. We are offering discounted room rates like last year, for anyone coming to stay both nights for the festival.

If you're interested in competing this year, please register ASAP before we're full! There will be a cut off as soon as we reach 16 troupes for each competition (32 total). If we have to limit or cut off troupes the time stamp on your email will be the deciding factor.

This year we will be judging in two different categories. One for longform and the other shortform so when you register, please specify if you are registering for shortform or longform. You can not compete in both categories. Pick your strongest category and bring your A game to our field!

2011 Comedy Improv Throw Down Festival - August 19-21 Call for submissions

Marc and I had a meeting with the owner of the comedy zone yesterday afternoon. Throw down dates are confirmed. We will be offering discount room rates for anyone staying on property for the entire festival Friday - Sunday. If you're looking for a "good time," $20 for a weekend full of improv workshops and shows is a bargain! Good food, lots of drinks and plenty of improv actors hanging out and helping each other get better at what we all love to do! Even if you don't have a troupe ready to compete, EVERYONE interested in improv will get far more that $20 worth of entertainment and training August 19-21, 2011 in Central PA!

Hope to see a bunch of new faces this year at the 2nd annual Comedy Improv Throw Down at the Harrisburg Comedy Zone!

Re: 2011 Comedy Improv Throw Down Festival - August 19-21 Call for submissions

OK the competition has been rolled back into one big competition for EITHER shortform or longform. There were only three shortform teams so we are not going to hold a separate competition. Instead, if we get at least 5 more teams to register, we will have a $500 first prize, $300 second prize and $200 third prize so register today if you haven't done so yet!

Don't Break the Streak will be performing on the Urban Stages at 7:15PM on Saturday August 13th for the Del Close marathon n New York. If you're in the city, plan on coming out to share the love with us!
