The Peanuts mentioned the Bible quite a bit in the olden days (in all of those 70's paperbacks) and it never really registered with me.
I think Scott Meets The Family Circus is sad because it shows a family being torn apart by One mother's selfish infidelity.

Listening to Muppets: The Green Album at work; Rainbow Connection almost killed me.
My husband danced with his mother to that song at our wedding. I cried.

Jesus!
This made me cry and even with the guy doing the overdubs it reminds me of the feeling I had when I first saw it:
I cried EVERYTIME Will Smith cried on the Fresh Prince:
The culmination of all the will they/won't they that Ed set us up with all these years and then knowing that it was the last season - and that freakin' SONG! This gets me EVERYtime:

Welp, I just made the fatal mistake of basking in the meticulously sad/happy content of my own post (I'm typing fancifully here because I'm feeling emotionally vulnerable) and I'm now a blubbering and sentimental old fool. I take back what I said about any of these videos "replacing" each other. They are all tools for a... I have to go. Can't stop.
EDIT: Okay I'm back. Can we have a discussion about what really gets you? If I see something blatantly horrible, like when that guy in the press conference shot himself in the mouth, my mind rejects it emotionally just on principle. I think it's some kind of evolutionary thing in place just in case the shit hits the fan. But when something is sad in a hopeful, even positively happy way, like the two videos above.... jfysjksrkie59w389iwjsfmjxdfjkdetre5w45isdrmkcgfket o5t5owiw4iwiekidtrkxcfmcvmcv nmcvmjaseuq37q39ty8pgui.gms.

S.W.A.S.S. points, no deductions!
From 1990, contains the first time Kermit is voiced by not Jim Henson. So moving it forgives the appearance of Robin the Frog.
Robin's fine. "Just One Person" is his song, and he's a good character to introduce undiluted sentimentality. I was more thrown by Bean Bunny, who's a tertiary character at best. But then I figured out that they probably chose the characters at the end by picking the important performers: the song is picked up, in order, by Jerry Nelson (Robin), Richard Hunt (Scooter), Steve Whitmire (Bean Bunny), Dave Goelz (Gonzo), and Frank Oz (Fozzie).

I was totally on board with this until the brief mention that they totally caused a car accident, which then caused me to think, "Why do we let 95 year old people drive again?". It would suck if the person that they hit was in intensive care or something, but was judged, 'Not heartwarming enough to be news'.

LEXINGTON -- Sami Stoner has yet to cross the finish line in first place, but she has won over fans while trying.
In the process, she's become a champion for teens with challenges.
Stoner, who is legally blind and a runner on the Lexington girls cross country team, is believed to be the first high school athlete in Ohio to compete with a guide dog.
"How could anyone in cross country complain when you look at what she is doing? It's powerful stuff," Lexington head coach Denise Benson said.
Yet, that powerful example almost wasn't allowed to happen...

"Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory."
I almost posted that earlier. So, instead I'll post this. A baby gorilla moments after being rescued from a poachers Rucksack.

What was the best concert you've been to?
"Probably Sade. It was just so sexy and relaxing."

I know, so emotive in the face and body language. In hindsight though the saddest thing is that I thought 'Rucksack' should be a proper noun.
