And look at what he has to wear! Nobody can make clothes for poor Ven.

I'm with Chap. I've turned on Ven too. Totally obtuse. He thinks it was the editing when the story is his accumulated comments about his client's weight actually, literally made her cry. I was glad that they made him sweat on the runway for being a dick.

What a fucken piece of shit, that Ven guy. Wow. The "every woman" challenges always get to me. Someone always cries.

I get *immense* joy from the fact that the wispy little dude is named GUNNAR DEATH RAGE. Excellent.

    Re: We Like Project Runway

I will say this in Ven's... well, not "defense" exactly... but he is right about two things:

    (1) The designer who gets the woman with the least model-like body always seems to lose these "regular person" challenges. Ven is not unique among PR contestants in being unable to translate design ability to typical human proportions. Michael Kors himself almost certainly leaves the work of translating his designs for the fit of the consumer market to someone else and always has. It actually IS unfair to give the designers such a wide array of bodies to design for and act like it isn't a handicap when someone gets someone who is shaped nothing like the form.

    (2) His model clearly hated being there from the beginning. She literally asked him to make jeans for her. She didn't smile when he came in, nothing. All of the enthusiasm was her friend. It was like pulling teeth to learn anything about her to maybe match her personality with a dress.

All that said, nothing excuses his behavior. His constant belittling of his client was disgusting and his complete indifference to her pain was appalling. The belts don't fit? You don't SAY anything. Just go to a producer and say "get me this belt in her size". You do not say "it is slimming" over and over again. I mean... JESUS CHRIST, MAN WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU.

Verdict: Asshole who also made a couple of valid points.

Gunnar also had a plus-size lady who hated being there and even started crying at one point. But he spent a lot of time making her feel comfortable, and it showed in the results. Ven: be more like Gunnar!

I also don't know what is going on because I like Gunnar now??? I hate Christopher, however. Everything he says and does just makes me crack up with how perfectly shitty he is.

Dmitry and blonde goth are my faves. I also hope Sonjia gets it together. This season is getting better, I like it. The episodes are still way too long at 90 minutes, though.

i missed the last episode except for the judging at the end, so i don't know what sonji, ven, or dmitri made, but... i actually think it was a sensible move on their part not to send anyone home. i like gunnar's dress. so did they. it would be ridiculous to send him off with a dress that would probably sell really well, even if it wasn't that new. dread girl's dress was kinda fug, but i got what she was going for. maybe she deserved the ax, but... they all did nice stuff. which... i can't really remember that happening on project runway for a long time, especially with so many of them left.

The other thing to remember is that one episode where two people left unexpectedly and they only brought one designer back, so they eventually had to have a week where no one went home if they wanted to maintain the production schedule and not axe an entire challenge.

I can't believe they liked Elena's dress so much; I thought it looked like it was made of clay and the back of the skirt was gross.

And what is scarier; her personality or the no makeup/TONS of makeup switch she goes thru with every camera change? Those eyelashes! Fake or clumpy mascara?

They didn't keep Gunnar because they liked his dress. They kept Gunnar because they FEAR THE DEATHRAGE.

Can't complain about who got booted, however Kors and Heidi seemed more confrontational than normal about choosing someone to boot on Ven's team.

The thin pink top stretched over the top of that ugly skirt was a nightmare. The bottom of the shirt didn't DO anything, it kind of bunched up. Blech. The hunter green jacket was really nice though.

It was only a matter of time before she went, but this whole "You need to fight for attention" thing that Nina said is bullshit. There's something to be said for well-made understated clothes. And her pants didn't have an insane crotch.

I had just started to really like Gunnar .

Really glad Dmitry won this one. He and blondie (I should really know her name by now) are my favorites, and I also like Sonjia. Ven is an entertaining sociopath, Christopher is an entertaining self-obsessed phony. Emilio and Elena should by all accounts be the next two booted. All around this has been a pretty solid season.

That emotionless Ven hug was hilarious.
