I want Kenley to go home, but I have to admit that she did a good job on this one. Her aesthetic goes well with the instructions to throw in a bunch of neon crap.

I expected Kenley to win this challenge, but was happy that Austin did. This is a new phenomena I like to call "Meryl-ing".

Yeah I really thought Kenley was going to win.

    Also: fairy lights.

If Kenley hadn't made what she made in every other episode then I would have liked what she did. Unfortunately this challenge just sort of happened to work around her aesthetic instead of the other way around.

Edit: Oh, I was talking about last weeks episode. Forgot there is a new one I haven't watched. It sounds like this week will probably be the same.

Oh wow, Michael really should have gone home there.

I'm glad it was Jerrell because I just plain don't like him.

michael's was definitely worse than jerrell's, but jerrell should've gone home ages ago. if he was competing for the final three over any of the others (even michael or kenley) i would've elvis'd my tv.

Michael's look was definitely bad, but it worked more than Jerrell's did. As Pharrell said, Michael's would fit in nicely at a Comic-Con. If Jerrell had attempted to make a somewhat coherent and not batshit look, Michael should have gone home. But Jerrell really shit the bed entirely, making an outfit that wouldn't even be okay wandering around a Bassnectar show at Bonnaroo at 3am. For once in his thick-headed life, Isaac Mizrahi made a salient point that even without that horrible full length pencil skirt, it was way too wacky even as a costume. It was just abysmal. And I loved watching him eat crow, after openly saying multiple times throughout the episode that he thought this would be his second win. I loved watching that moment on the Runway when he realized it'd probably be him going home. And then him pretending like he was "all good" afterward... I won't lie, I was high on schadenfreude.

It's really pretty sweet how little of a shit the editors/producers gave when it came to the huge, glaring continuity error that is Austin's mustache. Ugh.

I feel you chaps, but I still think he's going to win. His collection is turning out great. He's definitely been a big ol' baby at times. And his output doesn't even compare to his work from his season (OMG remember his HIV+ print pants????)

I did like when Michael pointed out "When he gets like this is when he does his BEST WORK" and I, sitting on my couch, responded, "Truth!" and then I got embarrassed.

It never occurred to me that the talking head segments are all filmed at the end.

Not all of them are. Austin's mustache has been coming and going this season.

    Re: We Like Project Runway

Mondo's sketch was the funniest thing I've ever seen. And it looked almost exactly like his end project (which I liked but agree isn't a great product for the challenge given).

I'm fairly happy with the three going to the finale. I probably would have preferred Kenley going to Michael but they're at a fairly interchangeable talent level. I just thought Kenley did better with this particular challenge. It wasn't perfect or gorgeous but girls could go into a store and buy Kenley's dress. There's a pretty thin market for Michael's.

Michael makes clothes for 50-something borderline-anorexic divorcees. I'm just not into it. He doesn't belong there, and I don't find the clothes interesting at all.
