Of all of them, Kenley's bridesmaid dress looked the least like it went with her wedding dress. I have no idea what the fuck Heidi was on about, because Korto's bridesmaid dress had the exact same color palette and similar pleating.

Kenley go home, Leanne beatcho AZZ!!!
I like Korto's the best, but I am so happy Kenley lost. Yay Leanne!

Her family didn't even seem to like her much.
How heartbreaking that the most a FAMILY member can muster is "you're a winner in my book!" oh man for real poor kenley
yes Leanne.
Even though Kenley is super annoying and bitchy, I liked her collection best.
Did anyone else notice that one of Korto's models looked like she was crying?
I second this. I thought her stuff was, with one or two exceptions, engaging and creative and overall a huge success.
Leanne's collection, as Nina G. said, was very one note. The palette was really narrow (white, aqua, beige) and just about every dress had those same wave-petals on it. They reminded me of the onion-shaped exhaust fans that you see on top of skyscrapers. The stuff in her collection that I liked best came at the end when she was less literal with the idea of waves and I hand it to Nina G. again for pointing out the versatility of how she used the wave-petals in conjunction with so many different looks (shorts, pants, skirt, gown, ...) When the judges are on, they really provide a lesson in how to look at clothes both as individual pieces and as a collection.
I liked Korto's collection too, but I don't think I have anything interesting to say about it.
I thought all three designers did great work for the finale and that isn't always the case. (I mean you, Michael Knight.)

Except what Kenley sent down the runway wasn't a collection. The only cohesive element between some of the looks were that they were hand painted. Which Nina pointed out as being derivative.
It certainly "looked like Kenley", but there was no "story" in color or silhouette. It was a schizophrenic mess. Just like Kenley.
I ended up liking Korto's collection a lot more than I thought I would. Though, if they were so concerned about Leanne being one note with the petals, why weren't they concerned about Korto being one note with ethnic-inspired looks?
Kenley: I did not like the painted dress or the one with the rope and side detail poufy-thing.
Korto: I did not like the big-sleeved thing that Nina Garcia creamed her pants over.
Leanne: I loved the muted palette; that was cohesion to me. The petals were nice. It was a collection. If it's too similar it's no good and it's it's too different it's not a collection.

Ha!
This, I suppose, is the difference between people who know what they are talking about and me. I looked at Kenley's collection and thought "that's pretty awesome stuff." (With the exception of the rope+hip-goiter dress that Tim didn't like - I hated that effect when someone did it early in the season also - and another that I don't recall.) The use of bright color and painted fabric tied the collection together for me, though I concede that there was a lot less of a through-line in Kenley's collection than either Leanne's or Korto's.
Because there is a difference between an aesthetic inspiration and a literal repeat of a single effect from one outfit to the next. Of the 10 looks, I think 7 or 8 had the same petals in different places. To use a horrible analogy, Korto's pieces looked like cousins while Leanne's looked like sisters. I guess Kenley's looked like neighbors or something.Though, if they were so concerned about Leanne being one note with the petals, why weren't they concerned about Korto being one note with ethnic-inspired looks?

Wow. Total rip off. That Kenley girl needs to grow up. Young creative people need to settle down and realize that someone questioning you is part of growth.
I'm glad that nerd girl won, because she's cute and actually has a consistent point of view.
The music playing during Korto's show reminded me of Flight of the Conchords. "Who's the BOOM KING?"

Has anyone checked out Jerrel, Suede, and Joe's collections on the website? YUCKY. And Suede's made me lol I think kids at Club Libby Lu are ghost-designing.
I guess it's just me, but I didn't like Kenley's stuff at all. That one green/black thing that one of the judges singled out was nice, but other than that I thought it was all over the place. I thought the one dress with the 1980s shoulder pads was terrible.
I thought either Leanne or Korto could have won, and I wonder if the deciding factor was that Leanne actually did what I am to understand a collection is - shorts, pants, other thing, wedding dress.
No, you're right Jon. Kenley's stuff was garish. Except for that little white dress with the painting on it. But that belonged in a cute boutique and not on the runway.
Leanne's seemed more artistic than Korto's but I liked them both. Leanne's did make me gasp a little gasp of "oh how beautiful" when some of her dresses walked down the runway, so I think she did deserve to win.
many tine tanies
Did I miss the reunion show? I saw the Finale (Part II) last week when the winner was announced, but I saw an article online yesterday that told who the Fan Favorite winner was. Isn't that usually announced on the reunion show? My DirecTV guide isn't showing it as being on the schedule tonight.
