Yeah, wouldn't they still be lunging, kicking, and attempting to lick one to death? How did this person--whose sex I could not determine from the show, so the first person here who used the feminine pronoun spoiled me, and my world ended, as if in a zombie apocalypse--teach them to heel?

Her sex was obvious in the show - seriously, what dude is wearing leggings in the woods?

SPOILER ALERT she's also African American.

It's possible that the slave-zombies are also blind/deaf/anosmic. If they have little to no sensory input, we have no point of reference for how they will act. Besides anosmia it would be pretty easy to accomplish either of those things on a Zombie.

In the comics she has the zombies on a leash for about 5 panels maybe so it's not that big a deal as to how she gets them to not try and attack her. I guess you can just assume that the zombies have at least a small amount of logic working in their brains since they were able to see that the fence at the beginning at the episode was impeding them so they tried to break it down, so maybe after many unsuccessful attempts at biting Michonne they figured out it was pointless. We have to remember that these zombies aren't as braindead as the ones in Night of the Living Dead. We did see one turn a door knob in the pilot episode after all.

Also, as a fan of the comic, I have to say that if season 3 is even somewhat parallel to the prison storyline in the book then everyone is going to quit complaining about how slow the show is and how nothing happens. Big things are coming next fall. I hope they don't try and squeeze it all into one season. And I hope they keep the Governors's story and dealings with Michonne as close to the book as they can on cable tv.

There's a reason in the comics, but can't mention it here! I should stop reading this forum. It just makes me want to give out spoilers and I'm sure it's annoying people to hear about the comic books. Or you people need to get cooler and start reading more comic books.

I think the logic was that she would blend in with them? Similar to how they smeared zombie goo on themselves. It has been a while since I read them. But either way, it is pretty ridiculous. I think Kirkman focused more on badass visuals than logic in that instance.

I'm not as excited for the prison after this season as I thought I would be. In the comics it is a huge deal but it was kind of a change of pace. They were on the move a lot more. Now I'm just worried it is going to be talking, and wandering, on the farm part 2.

Hopefully they won't dilly around and will get to the Governor shit fast. That is one step closer to Lori getting shot the fuck up. Fuck Lori.
