Hmm. I don't want to get locked into a ranking, so I'll just say that I have Fargo lower than some people would like, and O Brother Where Art Thou a lot higher than the consensus. Everything else about where you'd expect, although I, um, haven't seen Blood Simple.

    AST aggregate so far:

    1. Raising Arizona (2.93)
    2. Fargo (3.27)
    3. The Big Lebowski (3.73)
    4. Miller's Crossing (5.15)
    5. No Country For Old Men (5.5)
    6. Barton Fink (6.35)
    7. The Hudsucker Proxy (7)
    8. Blood Simple (7.06)
    9. O Brother, Where Art Thou? (7.92)
    10. A Serious Man (8.09)
    11. True Grit (9.5)
    12. The Man Who Wasn’t There (9.79)
    13. Burn After Reading (11.27)
    14. Intolerable Cruelty (12.25)
    15. The Ladykillers (14.4)

If my personal rankings were factored into this aggregate, Fargo would be an even closer #2 to Raising Arizona, Miller's Crossing and No Country For Old Men would swap places, and A Serious Man and O Brother, Where Art Thou? would swap.
My rule of thumb: when in doubt, don't post.

I think JJL's performance in Hudsucker was theoretically brilliant, but it just didn't work in practice. Like capitalism.

I'm just disappointed she doesn't show her titties. JJL always be showin' titties.

Nobody sleeps naked in this house!

Seriously though, has there ever been nudity in their movies? Maybe Blood Simple? It seemed like there was going to be some in A Serious Man....

Off the top of my head, Buscemi and Stormare get laid in Fargo and I'm pretty sure there's nudity, and also both Julianne Moore and the lady being trampolined at Jackie Treehorn's house in Lebowski. Oh also there are boobs in Logjamming in Lebowski. Maybe that's why it's the most popular Coens film, it's got the most boobs per minute of any of their films.

Unless I'm remembering very incorrectly, there was definitely nudity in A Serious Man. In fact, not just top nudity, but...uhh...bottom nudity as well. It was viewed from quite a distance though.

I haven't seen enough of them to make a list, but I'm surprised no one has No Country for Old Men atop their list. I think it's the best movie of any genre I've seen since its release. Obviously AST probably skews toward the more comedic films, but still, No Country is tops in my book.

My personal view is that No Country has a couple of really good sequences, but the rest of the film doesn't live up to those good chunks. I also remember when it came out that quite a large chunk of audiences were miffed with the ending (though, that didn't bother me so much).

This doesn't make any sense, but No Country is regarded as a better stand-alone film than it is as a great Coen Brothers movie. If I was ranking the best movies of the past 30 years, I'd definitely list it higher than Raising Arizona. But Raising Arizona is more definitively Coen-esque.

Big Lebowski has a hint of nudity too. Maude is nude whilst painting in a sky harness.

Underrated: Hudsucker, Burn After Reading, A Serious Man

Overrated: Man Who Wasn't, O Brother, True Grit (at least by critics)

    Serious Man is my favorite.
