on the subject of comedic taste: is it any different in comedy than any other artform? one man's beatles is another man's jonas brothers? i find that especially when "artiscially inclined" people cluster together, invariably they find shelter with like-minded/tasted (tasted?) people and just get super-catty when it comes to their views. to me, that's the beauty of any art form is the wide-birth you have inside a "genre" or "medium" to express yourself...hard to make everyone happy.
