The only chart I have ever liked less than that one was the one showing my brother's rapidly diminishing white blood cell count when he was dying of cancer.
I wonder how many George Carlins that makes me worth?

Ah, now, you could have posted that in the appropriate thread and it would have enriched the fray.
I just figured out this is about me.
I can assure you in real life I am a nice guy and I enjoy visiting this site and discussing comedy. I'm not sure where along the way I became "brutally unlikeable" in your eyes. Very few people have seemed to have a problem with me in the 10 years I've been visiting this site. In fact, most people have been complimentary and have appreciated my posts. Apparently you don't. That's fine. But what you said about my mother was extremely insulting and WAY worse than anything I've ever said to anyone on this board. So I DON'T apologize for being offended by that.
A couple of my posts that you have mistakenly interpreted as me being anti-woman and I am "brutally unlikeable". OK. I have tried to explain my points as intelligently as I could. I'm sorry if it wasn't enough. Apparently whatever I posted was just SO horrible in your eyes that I am now a jerk and I'll never be able to convince you otherwise. That's sad. But I assure you I don't need you or anyone else "feeling sorry" for me. In the long run, none of this matters and we are all here (supposedly) to have fun. I thought so anyway.
Edit: I also understand context. I could give you a detailed explanation of why what Flappity wrote was not equivalent to some yahoo writing "Nice boobs!" in a Youtube comment section. But I doubt it would make a difference and would just be beating my head up against a brick wall.

I accept your gracious surrender. Your execution will be as swift and as painless as possible.

I find BillBrasky very likable.
So can malware make people take message boards too seriously or was that a pre-existing condition?

Chickenpot, chickenpot, chickenpot-PIIIIIIIIIE!!!
Hey I know it's hipster cool to make fun of everything and all but I really liked suddenly susan and it hurts that you're all making fun of it eeeeeee yoooooooore
Wasn't Suddenly Susan the show about the guy that hung himself?
I didn't post this because I saw from some of the posts in the Mad Men thread that it was going to open the door to some really misogynistic bullshit, so instead I'll post it here, where that could never possibly happen, right? Also didn't post it because it's pretty shittily written and argued:
The answer to the question I posed in the title of this thread, by the way, is "fucking of course not, and you're an idiot for asking that."
The fact that in 2012 women still have to contend with this notion that men are intrinsically funnier than them is absolutely horrid. The idea that women are naturally unfunny or that men are in some way by virtue of their genitalia funnier than women as a whole should be consigned to the scrap heap of history with "Black people have extra bones/tendons that make them naturally athletic!" and "All Jews are greedy!" by now, and it's really fucking depressing that it's still got any cultural currency at all.
I not only agree with the author of the post above, but I'll go further with the argument - women are funnier than men because they have to work (insert huge number of your choice here) times as hard as their male counterparts to get recognition for being funny. Actesses don't have to work as hard for recognition as female comedians or female comedy writers. The only industry I can think of that even compares as far as un-level playing fields go is professional sports, which has a lot of parallels to comedy both in terms of societal stereotypes about which gender is "naturally" better at them and in terms of recognition."

Bill, I'm sorry I was shitty with you, it's just that you approach other people's opinions like they're presenting evidence at a trial sometimes and it can get under my skin. I apologize for getting personal, it was uncalled for.

Eh, it's OK. My posts today were not the best. I shouldn't have started in on pollymaepry for the "TMI" thing, I probably overreacted. I really don't want everyone here to start hating me, so I'm going to try to cool it a little bit in the future.
I'm not going to judge any other interactions, but the one you and I had was not your fault. I wasn't even that annoyed by what you were saying, I just thought of the Atticus Finch line and manufactured offense to excuse my using it. It was totally not called for and I'm sorry I acted that way so please don't change how you post or weigh what you say based on my shitty behavior in that thread. If anyone needs to cool it for a while, it's me.

Don't worry, Bill. Lots of folks here hated my guts 2 weeks ago but that seems to have been forgotten by now (by everyone but Natalie Portmanteau, who is just a dickhead to everyone it seems). So even if someone did take offense to something you wrote today, they will get over it. And if they don't, who cares? There are still a lot of people here who don't have an issue with you.
