I'm not sold on the foul when love "shuffled his feet." That play should've ended the game. And then Tolliver blew the layup (should've dunked it) *facepalm*
I knew Love was clutch before (i.e. first matchup with clippers) but holy balls!

I had ten players active in my fantasy league last night and Ibaka, Harden, and Love accounted for about half of my total points. Thank god for double OT games.
Love dropping 51 still won't prevent me from losing 7-2 this week.
Fuck you, Scammy.
Hot tub foot?
Kevin Love is incredible. I'm glad people are taking notice of him. He's been doing this for almost 2 years now. He doesn't look like he should be as good as he is, even when you're watching games the stats pile up in the most inconspicuous way possible. That game really kicked me in the gut. Should have won it in the first overtime. Anthony Tolliver stinks.
I just hope to god Rubio comes back and can be himself. He and Love are something we can actually build around. This summer, we also have enough cap space to actually add a SG of merit. This year kind of stings, because with Rubio we were on a course to get back to the playoffs. The team took about a week to recover from his loss. We're playing without him, Pekovic and Beasley right now and we stool took OKC to a second overtime because Kevin Love is a manimal.
Also, on Beasley... he and Rubio were tweeting back and forth this week about Angry Birds... Rubio was teasing him because Beasley only tries for one star on every level... Rubio only goes for 3 stars. I think that pretty much sums up both guys.
So am I.

Final Four baby! I thought we were toast but Florida got tight at the end of the game
We? What position do you play?
Hey, check me out. I'm a ghost.
The fact that Lamar Odom is "hurt" and "confused" by the booing he's getting from Dallas fans leads me to believe that the Kardashians' uncanny grasp on reality has rubbed off on him.
In unrelated news, if OSU beats Kansas (likely) and Kentucky beats Louisville (practically certain, sorry), I stand to win $600 in my tourney pool. It would mark the first time I even finished in the money since I won my first-ever pool in 1990.
Two things worth noting: (1) I have almost certainly jinxed myself by posting this; and (2) it would be very fitting for Kansas to fuck up my bracket by winning, given that I picked them to win about 8 national titles between 1995 and 2005.
I was trying to figure out a way for us to stand a chance vs UK. Well IMO the only way is to keep them off the line. We put them on the line 43 times! The first time we played and they made 32. That means 37 points came from them hitting shots. They average 17 points per game at the line so we exceeded that by 15. Keep the free throw attempts under 20 and we have a chance. Easier said than done depending on the refs because I swear the refs for the Florida game sucked!
Since the ABA/NBA merger ('76/'77) Kevin Love ranks 5th in career 30/20 games w/ 7. Ewing is next w/ 8, Barkley holds record w/ 19.
He followed a 51 point game with a 31/20 game.
He's in his 4th year in the league.
His hand is bigger than his head. Dude must have a massive dong. Chad, can you confirm?
Things don't look too promising for Louisville, from my perspective -- just don't see where they're going to get enough offense to beat UK. That said, they are good enough defensively to keep the game close (assuming they keep cleaning the defensive glass like they have in the past two games), and in the tournament that can lead to interesting things. They'll have to hit some big shots to do it, though, and I don't have a whole ton of confidence in Louisville's shooters.
And more to my point about Tom Izzo and Michigan State: since 2003, MSU has recruited 2 McDonald's All-Americans, and appeared in 3 final fours. On the current roster 15 of MSU's 16 players came from Michigan, Ohio, or Indiana. My point? By recruiting just the Great Lakes, and missing on the very top players, Izzo has a 2:3 McDonalds All-American to Final Four ratio. Thats pretty goddam good.
In that same time, Louisville has had five that I can think of. But I can't even imagine how many UK, UNC, and Duke have gotten. I'm guessing over 15 each, at least.
I would like to point out, however, that no matter how loud STEPHEN A. SMITH and Peter Vecsey or Tony Kornheiser want to shout about it, the cradle of basketball civilization is not in New York. Its in the midwest. Those of us from there have known this for a long time.

Only because this is something I am willing to be a complete nerd about, and because I have better, more important things to do ...
McDonalds All-Americans from the midwest, since 1999: Illinois 17, Michigan 12, Indiana 12, Ohio 8. Total: 49
McDonalds All-Americans from New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia: 36. (a huge percentage of these came from NJ, but I'm assuming a good chunk were prep schools for NY kids)
McDonalds All-Americans from California: 29
Sorry?
No I wasn't arguing I was agreeing. I knew Indiana and Illinois were big because we recruit from those areas though Thad Matta and Crean have Indiana and
Ohio on lockdown.
Texas is getting huge too which is why Baylors recruiting has gone up (though I've heard shady things about Drew)
I always knew Chicago was hot, poor Depaul though...upgrade your facilities. Everyone goes everywhere but to Chicago schools.
