Hey, check me out. I'm a ghost.
I still am not over the Rubio injury. I am having a hard time even caring about the team. There have been so many letdowns and failures in the past 5-6 years, so many bad draft picks... so much shit luck in the lottery... so many bad free agent moves... It was the first time in a long time things actually seemed to be heading in the right direction, and my little dreamboat gets basically the worst injury you can get as an athlete. Scammy, I think Jesus hate's me... I'm just trying to pass it off on you. The two most exciting athletes in Minnesota both went down to ACL's this year. I really want to give up on sports.
Keep yer chin up. At least you don't have to hang around in limbo while a new stadium gets built, waiting for the gutted New Orleans hornets or Charlotte Bobcats to eventually blow (literally) into town...
Hey, check me out. I'm a ghost.
Melo is out for Syracuse. There just went their chances. I didn't have them in the Finals though
I only had them winning the whole thing, so I should be fine.
Hey, check me out. I'm a ghost.
Are there really not going to be any big trades in the NBA? Come on GMs! Get crazy!
How can you not love this kid..

D'Antoni done. Walt Frazier kept saying it was crazy that Anthony was sat on the bench when he had a hot hand. This is pretty crazy but I think a better starting five would be Davis/Anthony/Stoudemire/Chandler/Fields. Davis knows enough not to pass to Anthony too early or else the ball sticks. Then you take Fields out for JR Smith and eventually rotate in the best lineup the Knicks have: Lin/Schumpert/Novak/JR Smith/Chandler. That's your high energy, best defense, best rebounding, best running and scoring lineup right there, amiright? Also working Lin and Davis together wasn't really working out but maybe Bibby and Lin would be a better match? I know Bibby has been struggling this season with the Knicks but maybe he needs more time on the floor.
Anyways if they play with even half as much gusto as they did against the Bulls (Jeremy Lin blocking Derrick Rose?!!!!) they should easily take care of Portland (who I had high hopes for but Crawford's shitting the bed hard)
Or just trade Anthony and Chandler for Dwight Howard and Turkoglu.
Hey, check me out. I'm a ghost.
Having Woodsen as head coach is going to completely solve that whole "Melo taking too many bad isos too early in the shot clock" thing. You can probably forget about that whole Jeremy Lin thing now, too.

Hot tub foot?
It must have been pretty exciting to be a Knicks fan for that 2 week span.
Jose Mourinho on one tv, Chelsea hanging on on the other... Goddamn I love my job. /BRAG2NO1

Its not so much about what Anthony does when he has the ball, but what he does when he doesn't. The problem is that he drifts to his favorite spots on the floor, and likes to post up -- both of which completely fuck up the spacing of D'Antoni's offense, which requires him to set up and start his offense behind the 3-point line, and also to spend more time on the baseline than he likes. If he lacks the discipline to stay where he's supposed to (and by all accounts, he does), the offense gets completely mucked up. By all accounts, no matter how many times he's told to stay on his spots, he naturally gravitates to his preferred spots.
Not sure what the solution is here, but the Knicks are a mess. I would trade Stoudemire and Anthony before I traded Chandler. But, of course, nobody in their right mind would trade for Stoudemire these days. (personally, I think he's done)
Had D'Antoni stayed, I think the Knicks could have built around Lin, Chandler, and some other jagoffs. As it is, I think they're setting themselves back five years.
And there is a 0% chance Syracuse wins the title without Melo. Zero. I don't think they'll get past the second round.
Trade rumors swirling that Boozer may be a Laker soon ... I can't wait to see how Matt tries to talk himself into that one.
Two things: if the Lakers come out of the trade deadline with Beasley and Ramon Sessions for Steve Blake, they immediately become the team to beat in the west.
Going forward, Minnesota is looking at a starting lineup of Rubio, Crawford, Williams, Love, and Pekovic next year, with a pretty deep bench. Thats a top-four team in the west.
And remember that Z-Bo is (hopefully) coming back soon, so the west is going to be wide open come playoff time.
Also, if you're a Portland fan, shoot yourself.
PS This is all assuming this trade goes through, and David Stern doesn't block it. Though there should be an "automatic block" clause for all one-for-one trades involving Steve Blake, unless the other guy is named Jimmer.
