It was cold out today though. I had to break out the winter coat for the first time. I like it because it has inside pockets, just what I needed.

My mother recommended I wear a leather jacket to keep me warm. It has a liner. She made it seem as though this would be warmer than my other jacket. Is accurate based solely on the leather?

once when i was living in boston, it was so cold one morning that as i walked past the movie theater at 6:30am, there was a popsicle on the ground... just laying there... untouched and unmelted. it must have been there for hours.

pg--I could have gone with any Boston resident there, and probably a member of the Red Sox/Patriots/Celtics might have made that gag pop a bit more...but I chose Lenny because I give mad props to the golden age of American club comedy and to the comedians from Boston who helped make it happen...as described in the movie "When Stand Up Stood Out" which is an excellent thing to watch when it is too brisk to comfortably be active outside.--seattle
PS--I grew up in Wisconsin. I don't think it's actually been "cold" since I've moved here...which is annoying because those who were born here in the Pacific Northwest start bitching about how cold it is when it dips below 50 degrees. These fools have never been a student crossing guard in the Upper Midwest before.
