    RuPaul's Drag Race...start your engines

Alright, who's watching? My girlfriend and I have gotten sucked into it via Netflix and now there's a new season airing.

Just by its very nature, it has more colorful personalities than pretty much anything else in reality TV. And they may use hot glue, but these bitches turn out infinitely more creative looks than the last 5 seasons of Project Runway.

    It's good stuff.

I'm rooting for Sharon Needles. Pittsburgh, represent.

Edit: You can watch the first episode online here.

This show is the best. It's partly a parody of Project Runway/America's Next Top Model, but it's also a much better version of both of them.

I'm also very pleased to see Sharon Needles doing well, because historically RuPaul's Drag Race has tilted toward the pretty queens, and they're not my favorite. I like the crazy-looking horrorshow drag queens, like Seattle's Dina Martina and Jackie Hell. I look forward to seeing how far Sharon can get before being kicked aside for not being glamorous enough.

I love this show. I also think RuPaul is a fucking national treasure. I love Sharon Needles and Jiggly Caliente.

So far, Sharon's my favorite, but I like The Princess, too. Can't stand Willam and Phi Phi. Alisa was gorgeous, but there doesn't seem to be room for a Tatiana type this season.

Willam is growing on me. That snotty "Bye!" was pretty damn hilarious.

Every time John Salley popped on screen, Jimmy Pardo popped into my head: "Oh, that John Salley is soooooooo funny!"

Willam is far more funnier and wittier than I want to give her credit for, because she seems like a pompous jerk. The "Your tone seems really pointed right now." from the Untucked intro kills me every time and her "Is the carpet comfortable?" line last week was killer.

I'm on board with Willem now. I think his strategy at first was to make a splash and stir stuff up to stand out. But now that he's been laying low and just throwing out snarky comments when he sees a good opening, I'm appreciating him a lot more. He's got some funny stuff up on youtube and on his own website.

Haven't watched the current episode yet, but I'll be back to comment when it goes up on the logo website tomorrow!

Latrice is now my favorite. In and out of drag.

Okay, saw the episode, and absolutely--Latrice was the star this week. She looked gorgeous on the runway, owned the challenge, and was the mama hen of the dressing room/lounge. I kinda want her to have her own show now. I'm okay with all the memorable queens just having their own shows on a RuPaul network. Willem can snark and Manila can interview people and Raja can do a fashion and makeup show, etc.

Loved the hokiness of the sitcom challenge. They were really working in every 80s sitcom device and character. DiDa was totally channeling Dorothy Zbornak and Julia Sugarbaker types, and Sharon was the lovable ditz. And Latrice's prison guard character was priceless.

Kind of glad to see Madame go, but I hope Milan is next. She just does nothing for me. And then Kenya can go after that. She's pretty, but there's no "there" there. I hope someone helps DiDa with her look, because I really like her otherwise. I'd even be okay with her being a quirky Pandora Boxx type, look-wise.

Dida scares me. She needs to fix her face or something. Moreso than any of the other queens, she looks like a dude in a shitty wig and a dress.

I got sucked in to watching this show by my roommate so this is my first season watching it and I love it so much. Latrice Royale is definitely my favorite. Did anyone notice on Untucked how she took her blue dress completely off and was just holding it over herself with a pillow while talking to everyone. Amazing! Willem kinda sucks but I was scrolling through Earwolf's guest list page yesterday and I spotted him and listened to some clips of him on Glitter in the Garbage and he was kinda funny talking about Jessica Lange. I also love it in the end of each episode when they all dance to "This is the beginning." But my absolute FAV is when Rupaul says "Now it's time to lip synch FOR YOUR LIIIFFEEE!!!" I'm seriously LOLing so hard every time she says that.

I really like the Snatch Game episodes, despite the fact that I always have to watch them curled up in a ball of cringe. It really shows not just who can do celebrity impersonations, but who can be witty and think on their toes and be in the moment and not just who has the best look. It's about who is smart in drag.

And some people just aren't up to it. Kudos to Latrice for slapping that nonsense down. Sharon could have totally crashed and burned with what she did, but she's smart and pulled it off. You can tell who is shaping up to be the top three. I'm hoping they come up with some creative ways to cull that dead weight.

Chad's Cher was so, so amazing. I nearly fell off my sofa the first time he leaned on the desk and did that Cher attitude thing. I love Snatch Game because it really does show who the entertainers are and who are just style and no substance. Chad, Sharon and Willam really proved what we all already knew--that they're hilarious, and they can take a challenge and run with it. They should have included more of Willam's Jessica Simpson in the regular episode, rather than saving it for Untucked. I feel like the producers of the show don't want him to look like a serious competitor.

I still think Pandora's Carol Channing is the Snatch Game Gold Standard, though.

I get so irritated by Jiggly's lack of creativity! Drag queens should be fueled with creativity and she just draws a blank. Even though the design a float challenge is kind of stupid, everything should have been better. She has potential.

Also, on Untucked did anyone notice Sharon Needles' Valerie Cherish/The Comeback reference? Of course it totally could have just been an independent thought but when everyone was talking about how much of a big dick Latrice probably has, she quipped a perfect " I don't need to see that!"

Phi Phi's two-faced-ness is really starting to annoy me. Also, I just realized that Shangela was on Community. Hallelu.

Shangela was on Community? Oh... Pocket full of Hawthornes!

Been burning through seasons two and three and just finally caught up with transmission, so I'm almost a little dragged out (but we have been interlacing it with Face Off to the point where we kept expecting the effects make up artists to have to lip sync for their lives). Glad to see Jiggly go, personally - although Willam would have been fine too, just because it would have been gloriously funny to see his reaction.

I would not mind having the Face Off people come over to do the makeup on Drag Race. Although that might be because I think it would benefit Sharon the most.

    willam noooooooo!

internet rumours say everything from coke use (don't actually think that's it) to willam getting paid for her designer product placements (i don't think versace needs help getting on logotv, but that's just me) to her buying new outfits and props during the filming, which is supposedly against the rules of their contract (this i believe). i also think this might've been cooked up to get more publicity, and willam was cool with it because she knew she wouldn't win the whole show anyway.

i thought willam could make the final three. i'm way sad to see her gone, but i'm glad it possibly saved sharon needles from elimination. i didn't think phi phi's lip sync was anything special, but rolling around on the floor saved milan and jiggly a few times.

    but really. wtf.
