They just announced a reunion in March. I, myself, will be attending. Anyone else here like them? I have seen upwards of 30 shows and I am tired of hiding it! It isn't cool to not like this band.

Wittles are you really ErinF, Devin, GalZ and Martha?
I can't wait. It's been ages since I spent nine hours in a field, wearing a hemp dress and twirling around while high on acid and calling music "crunchy."
Harris, I'm with ya. These conform-o's just don't get it. Dude.
I'll add my name to the wall of shame.
Saw them several times in high school and college, though I lost interest after '97. The Halloween show I caught in '96, where they covered Talking Heads' "Remain In Light" as their musical costume was pretty astounding.
Like most, I have a hard time dealing with the culture of the band and much of its fan base, and the lyrics are certainly harder to take as I age, but the instrumentals still do it for me in a big way.
I've got family in Hampton Roads... Hmmm...
I have never seen Phish live but I do swear by their Ben & Jerry ice cream flavor its my fave!
Harris this all makes sense now.
I'm on the fence about this. It's in my state, so I should theoretically go, but they were pretty awful post-hiatus (live, anyway). I'd more or less given up on them, but I heard "Undermind" last year and it's really, really solid. Anastasio is clean now, so that should help, but who knows how they'll sound.
Also, tickets are $46.50 plus Ticketmaster charge. Oof.
That was a dark spot in my past. I shall not be attending.
(For the record, I never twirled.)
many tine tanies
They should've just taken 5 years off. Good thing I spent all that time in traffic getting into Coventry.
I'm hoping these shows will be better than the post-hiatus junk. I went to the surprise Hampton show last time around and it was one of the worst shows of any band I've ever seen. But I think Trey being sober will be good for them, even though I hate my rockstars being sober.
After hearing the Coventry cd's, I was almost relieved I didnt wade through the traffic and mud to go, but still always felt shitty for missing their last show. Now I am SUPER glad I didn't go through the Coventry hassle.
I think these will be good shows because it seems like they are dying to play with each other again. Whereas, after the hiatus, they got back together it seemed like because they had a whole business to run.
I was sincere.
