Been lurking for a long time. I'm an open miker in Peoria, IL. I'm eighteen and just placed second out of forty-five at my local club's annual competition. I hope to be a moderately-sized deal some day. Love the community here. Found a lot of great comedy because of it. Glad to join.

I am a comedy fan. Stand-up, movies, television... stuff that makes me laugh.

I spend entirely too much time watching movies and TV.

I found this place through Doug Benson's DLM podcast. I joined after whining to my 19-year old son about not having anyone to talk to about podcasts. His advice:

Find an online forum. Join. Post. Don't be obnoxious. Initially, they will ignore you. Some might even give you shit about your posts. Stick around. If it's a good place, it'll be worth it.
