that humble bumble is INSANE.
I'm a packrat who already has all those games but you MUST grab it if you know what's good for you.

If you're bored and looking for a game in this summer lull, I just picked up Darksiders and it's surprisingly pretty damned enjoyable. It's a mix of Prince of Persia and God of War... elements of some newer Zelda style stuff too. The story is kind of incomprehensible, but it's got some interesting puzzles and keeps surprising me.
I bought that Humble Bundle and now I'm addicted to Limbo, and afraid of the dark.
Max Payne 3 is really, really great. It's hard to call a game that got uniformly solid reviews underrated but I think it's being a little undersold how good the story and writing is and how brilliant the combat mechanics are. I genuinely can't remember the last time I played a shooter that felt like it was pushing things forward but the action here is so fast, satisfying and gloriously unscripted that every single shootout ends up feeling distinct and memorable. And the fact that you can have these completely unscripted shootouts online with everyone slow motion diving off of balconies with two guns blazing is absolutely insane. This game rules.

Does anyone who likes games also like the indoor kids? I stopped listening when they didn't know what Starcraft was. Am I missin out?

Valve and Adult swim are teaming up for SOMETHING!!>!>!?!??!?!
HALF LIFE 3???

Hopefully we get out Meet the Pyro video!
Looks like another ARG is popping up too, most likely tied to TF2;s upcoming 300th update.

I love the show. They are little uninformed when it comes to PC games, but I still thing it's good. Kumail and Emil make a good duo.
Listen to the Paul Sheer, Thomas Lennon, and Jordan Morris episodes.
Thanks d00dz, Will do!
I can't believe how many typos I made in that post just slightly above. Ridiculous. I forgot to mention that I really liked Todd Levin on The Indoor Kids as well.
In other news, I'm getting ready to give Steam all of my money once the Summer Sale starts. It's apparently starting Thursday.
The Mass Effect 3 ending update came out Tuesday? Any opinions? I did all 4 options and I feel like it's just a bunch of exposition spelling out what was already implied. I doubt it makes anyone who hated the ending happy. I found them kind of redundant and pointless. I liked the way it originally ending. They felt like a dumbed down version in this update.
Maybe I'm a cynical piece of shit but I think Dawnguard is one of the sloppiest things Bethesda has ever put out. Their dialogue normally sucks but this is a whole new level. The additions are cool (if underpowered and kinda pointless in the grand scheme of things), but I don't know if they really do enough to alleviate the crushing ennui of playing Skyrim. You're still just running poorly written errands for a bunch of robotic theme park attendants who don't work right half the time.
BLEH!
"Guys, I don't want to worry you but there's some more bullshit happening on my golf course"
If anyone here cares about point-and-click adventure games, a good one came out recently, it's called Resonance and you can download a demo here.
I'm a few hours into it and it's quite enjoyable so far. The puzzles are logical and fun to figure out and the old-school graphics are pretty.
The narrator from Bastion voices one of the characters.
That looks so cool. Thanks AstroChicken. I am a huge fan of the LucasFilm p&c games.
Wadjeteye is the same company that made the Blackwell games and Gemini Rue. Those are worth playing.
Believe it or not, the Amazing Spiderman game has some of the best boss battles in recent memory. The rest of the game is fairly average, but the big boss battles are great.
I'm about 80% through the game. It's fairly enjoyable. It's kind of a mix between the newer Batman games and Prototype.

I've really enjoyed the first two episodes of The Walking Dead game and I'm glad it's more of an extension of the comic rather than the TV show. And I'm already looking forward to playing through the whole thing again and making different choices to make the main character a jerk.
