The reviews for Fable 2 are very encouraging. Sounds like the sandbox adventuring is, finally, comprable to Oblivion or GTA even if it's still less. That's my kinda game.
I will not have time to play the game until at least after the holidays, so I won't buy it until then either. Keep me posted, smartest Nathan.
why wouldn't he, why wouldn't any decent america

We're not in the decent America.
HAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
This whole time I've thought you guys were talking about a sequel to the 1996 PC adventure game until I finally looked it up on Wikipedia. I'm even more out of touch than I thought.
I'm leaning towards Far Cry 2 myself. I was buying into the Fallout 3 and Fable 2 hype for a while, but games with post-apocolyptic and medieval fantasy worlds are starting to feel played out. I'm sure they're both worth playing, but if I have to choose one setting in which to piss away my free time, I'd rather explore an artificial African-like country.
As a recovering Oblivion addict, I am almost reluctant to jump into Fallout 3. So I was glad to hear that the game ends once you finish the main quest-line. Although I loved the past Far Cry games, I'll get it around the holidays when I will have most likely beaten Fallout.

No one beats Fallout. The best you can do is live in balance with it.

I was super shocked how many people showed up for the midnight release of fable 2. figured it would be me and a handful of LARP-ers. there was probably 35-40 people though, and already it is a black hole for my time i player until 3 last night then got up and played till i had to go to work fighting urge to play now because i need sleep.

Lucasarts and Bioware announced their Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO today. I don't know where I fall on that: it'd be fun to run wild in the Star Wars universe, but at the same time if anyone besides another Jedi can take on a Jedi in a fight there'll be some problems.
There were copies for sale at EB Games here in central California. One of their clerks came to pick up some comics at my shop and told me they'd sold a few copies and I let him know about the Koran problems. I may have mistakenly ruined a lot of people's fun.
Isn't there already a star wars mmo?
Yes - Star Wars Galaxies.
Fable II so far is pretty great even though I've only played about an hour of it. It's very colorful and I love the cartoon look. It allows for you to have some good animations and some pretty cool characters. The golden crumb trail is a pretty interesting move. It's very helpful! but I can imagine myself completely getting lost in it and not exploring the world. I wonder if it would still be hard to find things if I turned it off.
I can't stop thinking about it though and I can't wait to get home to play. My favorite thing about the game is not worrying about ammo and magic points. Unlimited amounts of both is just so freeing. I can't wait to see how my character ends up looking when I start to get stronger. I've been purposefully varying my attacks so that it's random.
By the way, Good or Evil? I'm playing Good right now and who knows if I'll ever replay and be Evil, but they are both rewarding!

It really is, the gameplay is great, I picked it up last month for twenty bucks as well. Holds up great. Can't wait for Round 4, with Mike Tyson! Also, the UFC game looks good, I'm just hoping that they can capture the mechanics of how a mixed martial arts match operates, not like that horrid Pride FC game for the PS2 years ago.

Yeah, the Fight Night games are really fun. I like the career mode and how you can work your character out to upgrade the stats that you want. I for one can't wait for Punch Out for Wii to come out. I was playing the boxing game for Wii Sports and if made right a boxing game for the Wii could be so good.
Formally Max Geinachoff.
Oh yeah, now I remember why I stopped playing mass effect the first time: driving around in barren wastelands to mine minerals.
