Marina Abramovic the Artist Is Present
I saw this show when it was at MoMA in 2010, and I just watched the documentary (recently aired on HBO) of the same title. I didn't fully appreciate the retrospective until I researched Marina's career and I regret having not seen the show again (armed with context) before it closed. The documentary made her seem much more likable and vulnerable then some of the press I read about her during the MoMA show. The doc also shows some fun behind the scenes stuff at the museum.
If anyone else had any thoughts about the show, doc, or artist I'd be interested to hear them. This film is definitely worth seeing.
