    commune!!

i think it was a really interesting move for us to see megan be good at her job, all by herself, but not get the sort of fulfillment out of it than don and peggy do. she has the talent (not saying her idea was brilliant, but it was good and it did the trick) but not the drive, not for this sort of work. i actually think megan leaving SDCP wouldn't be a big struggle. it would be about what don gets up to when she isn't there. and it would be about what she does instead. if she goes back to acting, running around the village with her awesome weird friends, that's where the real generational/cultural divide will become the most pronounced.

and poor sally. too young to wear make-up but not too young to see uncle roger get a blowie from step-grandma.

So if Megan quit SCDP and farted around with her acting career while living with Don (and not earning a living to contribute) that would be better for "Pa-PA" than her sitch now? He seems like a real trailblazer.

Poor Sally Drapes. That kid's seen some things. On the upside, she's going to grow up to have an unparalleled spank bank.

Megan's dad having the kid reload that pen on the white carpet said so much. I hate when people are so good at making TV. It makes me insanely jealous.

The bottom line is it's looking like Megan Drama >>>>>>>> Betty Drama.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, we could talk about how the shot of that elevator shaft might be the most significant in the history of the show and will probably only get more significant as the season progresses, but didn't Pete look silly carrying those skis?! If I don't get a gif of that in the next 12 hours, then you all can suck it.

    Re: Mad Men

It's a fear of everyone's that the elevator won't be there when the doors open, right? Also, he should report that to maintenance, but I don't know if the building is responsible for foreshadowing or metaphors.

Pete took the skis home on the train. Classic Pete!

My loud, impulsive exclamation at the elevator scene: "Goll-LEE, this show is just RIFE with SYMBOLISM!"

I missed this show so much. It's nice to have it back in my weekly routine.

I thought it was funny that the running gag that Don doesn't know what the Beatles sound like culminated in Megan playing the most experimental song they'd recorded up to that point for him as his first introduction. They're both hot and into each other, but this relationship will never last. They have literally nothing in common. How could Megan think that Don would get onboard with "Tomorrow Never Knows"?

Didn't Don get tickets to take Sally to see the Beatles at Shea Stadium?
