Oh my heavens--are you going to be okay?

Loved the premiere. I think Megan is going to be the undoing of Don. He no longer cares about work - just her. This will be interesting to see.
God damn I love this show. I was grinning from ear to ear during the opening scene with Sally and the kids. They're the perfect goddamn family. Not only are they the perfect family, they're the antithesis of whatever family could possibly live in that Adamms Family mansion (to steal Don's insult).
And then everything else happened and just tore that to shit.
"There's my baby."
That cutaway to Pete while Don was taking Megan on the floor made me think Pete was having fantasies about Don taking Megan on the floor.
Also, Alex Mack is Kenny's wife.
"Why do you carry so much cash?"
"That's over a thousand dollars."
two of my favorite lines of the night
·'No, you're wrong Shmee. They're not bad people. They love me. They don't really mean it when they tell me to get kidnapped.'
2012: a new Bobby cometh.
many tine tanies
New Bobby, wha?
Was that Brian Scolaro as the guy who had lost his wallet?
"Is it me or is the lobby full of negroes?"
Did Hamm direct the entire two parter, or just the first hour?
I'll bet my non-existent salary that the "Lane...clipboard" line was improvised. Probably my favorite of the night.
The Harry Crane-and-Megan scene played out like a wonderful sketch, even if the actual premise was played out. The other guy asking "What things what you do, Harry?" was fucking perfect.

Formerly an enigmatic Irish woman. Don't ask.
Jon Hamm directed the first episode that was filmed, which will be the episode next week.
Yay total lack of Betty!!
Hey, check me out. I'm a ghost.
AND Pete smacking his nose into the column. What a spazz. And the fake Coca-Cola meeting? He's such a little shit. I love him.
Also, I thought that opening sequence was a little broad and initially put me off, but it turns out that it actually happened, down to the usage of the line, "And they call us savages" -- which irked me more than anything. Now that I know it's all historically accurate, I love opening the season with that. The article I posted last week seems to be right on. Can't wait to meet the New Hire...
I guess they're releasing Zou Bisou Bisou to iTunes. I was kind of put off by that at first but I'm definitely buying it so who cares.
