The second half of season four won't air until early 2009. There are as many as three planned two hour TV movies. They will be Razor-like and fill in the blanks between things that happen before the events of the series finale. One of them might air before the second half of S4, and the other two will follow the series finale. There are also a series of planned webisodes before the final 10 episodes air.

There were a couple of stupid one-off episodes, including one about space puppies and space kittens that was worse than it sounds. But on the whole it was pretty good. There were 3-4 episodes that dealt heavily with Cylon mythology, which is one of the most interesting sci-fi things ever on television.

I think season 4 was very strong so far. Lots of heavy moments, not too much meandering.

You misunderstand- the pets belong to the stupid lawyer from Season 3, so by proxy the dogs and cats episode in Season 4 is stupid.

I should also apologize for going on about cats and dogs when they are small (though very crap) parts of the episode in question. I'm doing a lame inside joke with myself. Last year I had some material about BSG where I essentially dared the show to do an episode about space puppies and space kittens, and then it happened, and it was worse than the original episode I was whining about.

So the cats and dogs infuriated me on a level I shouldn't expect strangers to understand.

The second half of the final season is coming up and no one has anything to say about it?

I just watched all of 4.0 from Netflix in 3 nights, and thought it was pretty solid. There was some filler, and I still think Romo Lampkin is the worst character in the series. Whenver he talks my brain just shuts down and I miss entire scenes.

I loved when the 3 told Roslin she was a Cylon, and then laughed in her face. I had pegged Roslin as a Cylon since season 1, but I guess that's not happening.

Baltar was mishandled this season. I didn't like the whole religous crusade. That character's a lot better when he's a scheming dick.

I loved the Cylon civil war, but I'l still not sold on the final 4. It just felt like they were bending the rules way too much. I would have preferred a more shocking reveal, like seeing multiple copies of the characters, or finding out (which I was hoping for) that they were all actually human and were tricked by a signal or something.

Also, the storyline has gotten kind of confusing. Starbuck went to earth, but her visions led her to the base ship that had the hybrid that could identify the final 5 that could lead her to earth? Huh? Also, where did she get the brand new ship from.

And they still never explained "All Along the Watchtower".

Overall, I'm just fired up for the last 10 episodes, because now that they're on Earth, the whole format of the show changes (again). No idea what happens now.
