Thread: Halloween costumes

    Halloween costumes

Post your ideas or queries here.

As a girl I do sometimes lean towards the chance to do the stupid "sexy" bullshit but more often than not I go for the funny one.

    Help!

    Trying to decide between:

Liz Asher (have to explain who I am to too many people, but it is actually a female)

Old Gregg (more people will know, fun costume, can have business cards, but fairly unattractive)

Spaghett (could also have business cards, but run the risk of never getting laid again)

    Show us your costumes!

If you're a girl you're going to have to change your avatar because it confuses me. It just makes me assume that you are P.J Head.
What was the best concert you've been to?

-- Probably Sade. It was just so sexy and relaxing.

    It's this or Worf...

Liz Asher possessed might be easier to recognized, esp if you get the hair right. You could give the impression of being able to levitate inanimate have staplers and spoons hanging from your sleeves, tied onto fishing line.

Old Gregg, that's awesome and a fun costume, too. If you like spending Halloween drunk on Bailey's.

Spaghett might be hard to recognize. Casey might be more easily recognized (but would guarantee the inevitability of never getting laid again).

One of Sweet Dee’s Youtube characters might possibly work. Or even Margaret McPoyle.

    That's way sweet, punkdc.

    And! Obv Liz Asher!

I was gonna be Chris as The Thwacker from Shroud of the Thwacker but my friend couldn't find her Letterman t-shirt.
So my safety is zombie from Night of the living dead and gonna be all in all black n white n grey all over.

    omg halloween.

I vote that we dress up like a really slutty message board.

What about costumes that incorporate glasses? I wear glasses and I can't go without them, and I don't have contacts, so good Halloween costumes are always a challenge for me.

(I'm female, but if you want to list male ones for other glasses-wearers that's good too)

    Re: Halloween costumes

Yeah me too! I always forget about the pesky detail.
The best costume with glasses I ever did was Tobias Funke. Nothing quite as liberating as a bald cap and cut off shorts.

    You could try...

I know it's fake but if you're going to do a stupid political costume why not? Which I am also considering because I have a fair resemblance to her. I'd prefer Liz Lemon but can't think of anything that doesn't look like normal clothes (if anyone has any ideas for that one, bring them on!)

...I get a little bit too into this holiday

    Re: Halloween costumes

This is the first Halloween I've had contacts, so I will finally achieve my dream of wearing a monocle and top hat and being the fancy gentleman to which I truly aspire.

    Re: Halloween costumes

I'll probably just wear sunglasses for Halloween and, if anyone asks, I'll tell them I'm Tom Cruise from Risky Business. Or Top Gun. Or Minority Report.

    Re: Halloween costumes

This year I know there's going to be a bajillion people in cheap-ass drugstore Joker outfits, to which I say, "I did it first!" as in, 1988 kinda first.

    Drew as the Joker

This year I have no idea. Since I got fat I don't enjoy the holiday as much. Dressing up is a pain and I just feel bad eating candy, re: fat.

I like where drieux is taking this. Let's post Halloween pictures from our childhood.

    Re: Halloween costumes

I'm gonna dress like David Cross on the Mr. Show season 3 cover... or in the style of Jean Michel Basquiat.

    Well then congratulations, So Taguchi.

Also, this reminds me of the time I put on a long-sleeved shirt and fedora and told people I was Dr. John. Ah, college.

By no one I guess you mean everyone.

Seriously, though, you could always go as Eddie Gaedel. (insert rimshot here ____ )

First of all, this picture is incredible.
Secondly, I wish I had pictures of my various costumes that no one understood, namely Harry from 3rd Rock From The Sun in high school. I even memorized lines from the show for it. Yes.
Thirdly, being fat totally opens up another world of costume choices. Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder, anyone?
