Dave Rees, the creator, is a really nice guy and has some other funny strips he's created.

The "My New Fighting Technique Is Unstoppable" comics are his funniest in my opinion. Incredibly ridiculous and silly without the political anger. There's a book of them that is downright hilarious.
I saw David Rees about five years ago in the basement of a bookstore putting up the original GYWO comics as slides and then reading them out loud, all of the swearing included. It was really eye-opening to see all of that anger put towards something creative.
