The "Do A Good Thing" Thread

Is there a thread for sharing charity/fundraising projects? If not, let's start one.

This is a link to raise funds for the Robbins IL public library to replace their stolen AC. It's hot as fuck in Chicago this summer (and probably for all summers to come), so they'll need this. I've done a lot of work with Robbins IL history (cataloging and microfilming their newspapers), and they have a tremendously rich history with a lovely historic graveyard, the nation's first black owned and operated airport where so many black pilots (private and military) trained, and Nichelle Nichols & Dwayne Wade are from there - Nichols's father was the mayor for a time.

Also, the town is economically depressed as shit. So help if you can, please.

Oh shit. I just re-read that page for the first time since I posted it, and it seems they have a donation from an HVAC company to cover the replacement. Sorry about that.

Still, good idea for a thread, and give them money anyway - what were you going to spend it on, ya dick?
