Californication is one of the best shows of the last few years. Very funny, and very addictive. It's not one of those shows that you can just stumble upon and enjoy though. Start with episode 1.
As for the sex addiction -- I dunno. Sex feels good. Everyone's addicted to it.

Furthermore, I liked Californication. I thought he was especially good in it. It was a little over-written and the dialogue wasn't as clever as it aspired to be, but overall I enjoyed it.
