I would imagine so, and a quick glance shows that you can find some for less than $199 which is the price on a used PS3 at Gamestop.

There's a 250 price drop on them as well for new ones, so just buy the new ones I say...
so instead of a Nook, I bought a 7 inch Galaxy Tab from someone on Craigslist for $175. Not a bad little device at all but doesn't run Honeycomb.
Dear This Thread,
My girlfriend just bought the Sony HDR-CX130. The guy at Best Buy was trying to sell us on High Speed SD Cards. I already have a 4 Gig SD Card. (Plenty of memory for our needs.*) Is there really a benefit to high speed SD cards for HD cameras at this level?
Also, if anyone thinks this is a truly shitty camera for the price let me know. I think we have 2 weeks before we can no longer return it.

You should get a faster SD card. A standard speed card wouldn't be reliable for HD video. My camera won't even let me shoot HD with such a card. You should get class 6 or higher. I wouldn't get it from Best Buy though, Amazon is way cheaper.
edit: okay. you all can ignore my stupid question. someone happened to post a video to youtube of them taking apart one of the netbooks i was looking at
if I purchased a cheap netbook, would I be able to disable/remove the wireless card? I'm sure it depends somewhat on what machine it is, but is that sort of thing generally possible? It's sad and stupid, but I really do need a computer that is incapable of accessing the internet if I want to be productive. in college I used to do all my work in the top floor of the library where I couldn't get a wireless signal.
buying a cheap netbook (like this: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...878&CatId=4936) and disabling the wireless seems like it would work. i've also been looking at used laptops, but most I see for sale are $100 + dead battery, so it would be about $200 anyway.

SSD! That's what I want to do, so I can boot and start programs super fast but also have mad hdd storage space built in. Just mildly worried about what dual drives might do to battery life.
Hmmm. What about just replacing the original HD with A SSD?
Just bought a Filco Majestouch 2 Ninja. I've been crazy obsessed with reading and watching video reviews of all types of mechanical keyboards and which switch types are better.
Sounds like one of your cables is starting to fail. I'm not familiar with cinema displays, is the miniport cable hard-wired to the monitor or can you detach it? If you can detach it then start there, swap out the cable for a new one and see if that fixes the problem. Otherwise you're going to have to find a repair shop.
I'm in.
Oh I already got this taken care of. It was my vidya card, got it replaced. All better.
On a related note, it's a 2006 Mac Pro and it's been running like shit for the past year or so and I just finally upgraded the RAM from 2 GB to 10. That and my FIOS internet was cutting out every other minute and they replaced my modem with zero runaround and that's fixed too. Everything's better!
