Greetings

Because of an increasingly busy work life and an erratic, anything goes personal life, I've found it difficult to keep up with my column Klaus Kinski's Comedy Canon on famed website Brooklynvegan.com. Lately I've only really been able to squeeze out the occasional post here and there. But comedy is happening in NYC and the world at large and it must be written about!

SO. BV and I are looking for someone with the time and a little html knowledge to submit weekly (or bi-weekly) comedy wrap-ups. There is no pay, but for now you could get your name out there, others' names out there, and get into loads of events for free (BV and I would need to coordinate that though). Have a look at my previous posts (hyperlinked in paragraph one) to get an idea, but in general posts should include

a) Special event alerts - anything David Cross, Eugene Mirman, Patton, Aziz, SNL member, etc... link to ticket sales and pages that list more tour dates or whatever. BV is a NYC centric blog, so event alerts should be NYC centric... of course, mega tours and giant comedy shows elsewhere are cool too, but don't bother telling us about an upcoming Comedy Death Ray show in LA. Knowwhatimean?

b) show coverage - a recap of at least one event a week with one quality picture. It doesn't need to be taken by you. It would be cool if you were the one who attended, but if not - you can quote someone else for the written part too.

c) links to funny posts by comedians

d) links to comedy news - can be mainstream new sources and to blogs like CCInsider and the Apiary.

e) linked MP3s

f) links to YouTube.

g) gossip

h) business (MTV picks up show, comedian gets job, website is bought, etc..)

i) Interviews. By you or by others.

j) whatever else.

If anyone is interested, drop me a line and we'll talk. I can tell you that writing for BV has been an incredible experience. I will continue to write as well, but I need someone to be more consistent with content.

LEMME KNOW!
