    Re: CIA and movies

What about the first episode of The Lone Gunmen television show?

The plot of the March 4, 2001 pilot episode of the series depicts a secret U.S. government agency plotting to crash a Boeing 727 headed for Boston into the World Trade Center via remote control for the purpose of increasing the military defence budget and blaming the attack on foreign "tin-pot dictators" who are "begging to be smart-bombed." This episode aired in Australia less than two weeks before the 9/11 attacks, on August 30.

Here's a link that explains this better:
    http://www.infowars.com/articles/sep...lywood_911.htm

Star of the Lone Gunmen Dean Haglund talking about the show and CIA involvement in the scripts.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84gSSUwpHYk

"In the early 1960s, America's top military leaders reportedly drafted plans to kill innocent people and commit acts of terrorism in U.S. cities to create public support for a war against Cuba.

Code named Operation Northwoods, the plans reportedly included the possible assassination of Cuban émigrés, sinking boats of Cuban refugees on the high seas, hijacking planes, blowing up a U.S. ship, and even orchestrating violent terrorism in U.S. cities." -ABC (5/01/01)

Whenever this is brought up somewhere, it always needs to be prefaced with "I'm not a paranoid conspiracy theorist or anything." Well then you're a coincidence theorist.

"I don't think anybody could have predicted that...they would try to use an airplane as a missile, a hijacked airplane as a missile," said National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice." -CBS (05/17/02)

"In the two years before the Sept. 11 attacks, the North American Aerospace Defense Command conducted exercises simulating what the White House says was unimaginable at the time: hijacked airliners used as weapons to crash into targets and cause mass casualties.
One of the imagined targets was the World Trade Center. In a third scenario, the target was the Pentagon..." -USA Today (4/18/04)

    Re: CIA and movies

The link to the Infowars article briefly mentions the idea of conditioning:

"The show was used to subconsciously manipulate people to believe that if these events did actually happen, it would be like a film, not a part of reality, therefore we should not worry too much."

Makes you wonder about what other blockbusters are used as tools to condition the populace and for what purpose.

Well, an ex-italian president sure does.

    http://www.opednews.com/articles/gen..._president.htm

"[Bin Laden supposedly confessed] to the Qaeda September [attack] to the two towers in New York [claiming to be] the author of the attack of the 11, while all the [intelligence services] of America and Europe ... now know well that the disastrous attack has been planned and realized from the CIA American and the Mossad.... in order to put under accusation the Arabic Countries and in order to induce the western powers to take part ... in Iraq [and] Afghanistan."

    Also this:
Former Italian President Francesco Cossiga has offered a solution to the Italian government in dealing with widespread demonstrations by students and teachers over a cut in state funding of education - use agent provocateurs to start riots and then have the police “beat the shit out of the protesters”.

“Maroni should do what I did when I was Minister of the Interior. University students? Let them do what they want. Withdraw the police from streets and universities, infiltrate the movement with provoking agents ready for anything ["agenti provocatori" is the Italian term] and let them devastate shops, put fire to the cars and put cities to the sword for ten days."

"Indeed, the scenario Cossiga is describing is exactly what happened at the violent 2001 Genoa G8 summit, during which Italian police planted bombs in headquarters being used by protest groups as an excuse to conduct raids and “beat the shit” out of peaceful demonstrators.

A similar tactic was also attempted during last year’s SPP summit protest in Quebec Canada. Canadian police were caught dressed up as rock-wielding anarchists intent on causing riots. Peaceful protesters identified the agent provocateurs and the police later had to admit the fact despite going to the lengths of publicly staging the arrests of their own officers."

Just had to squeeze all that in there.

    Re: CIA and movies

I got the first article from this blog: http://www.leninology.blogspot.com/t

It's a radical marxist blog mind you,but there is an interesting lament on Saturday Night Live in the comments and I quote:

"I wouldn't call anything SNL does "satire". SNL is nothing more than part of the American media propaganda apparatus. Apart from being mediocre and painfully unfunny, their "satire" is never too sharp or penetrating and never challenges long-cherished American myths and assumptions. When they poke fun at what passes for the "left" in America, i.e., Democrats and liberals, it is always from the right, demonstrating they have internalized the right-wing's narratives about Democrats and liberals. Their skits and jokes are also infused with the typical pro-American, pro-Israeli biases. The show also took a noticeable right-wing turn for a while after 9/11, which should tell you enough about the biases and the levels of deep racism and anti-Arab and anti-Muslim hostility of the people working on the show. Calling Tina Fey's impression of Sarah Palin "satire" is being very charitable"

The comment also quotes Dennis Perrin of red state son.

    Re: CIA and movies

Here's the response to my question of how snl is anti-muslim(in reference to the Saddam and Osama bit)

'Now, I'm not going to argue that it isn't funny. Parts of the bit are funny.. depending on your level of tolerance. But is it satire to poke fun at and ridicule the weak and disenfranchised? In my book, effective satire is really about taking on the dominant power structures within your own society, and illuminating the deep flaws and demolishing cherished myths and assumptions of your own society and country.

Arabs and Muslims are already some of the most demonized and ridiculed population in American media and political discourse, and all mainstream American media is already heavily biased towards Israel and against the Palestinians. Given that context, take special note of that Rocks! segment in the above bit that is meant to ridicule those "crazy", "irrational", "primitive" Palestinians. Is it really "brave" and "satirical" of SNL, which is based in New York City, to demonize and ridicule those crazy, primitive Palestinians? Is that satire? Or is it just racist propaganda?"

I basically explained that the tv funhouse bit made fun of the supposed connections between the two and conservative paranoia of how Muslims might frame their issues to kids.

Oh that and there's talk about whether Tina Fey's Palin impression was some kind of Liberal propaganda because apparently, it breaks down like this:

    1. The fact is that Ari Emanuel is Rahm Emanuel's brother, Obama's chief-of-staff designate, and Ari's client is Tina Fey, who, aside from Ms. Palin herself, caused the most damage to Palin's credibility as a vice-presidential candidate, and now Ari Emanuel's talent agency Endeavor is negotiating a book contract worth reportedly in excess of $6,000,000.00 for Tina Fey after Ms. Fey dedicated her recent professional career getting paid to wear prop glasses and say 'mavericky', getting laughs from dimwits.
    2. From these facts I conclude that money is being paid to Ms. Fey for her contribution to the Obama campaign, and that Ms. Fey was not, as would be assumed by most people, simply performing her low brow schtick as part of a televised comedy troupe. In other words she was performing an occult service for a presidential candidate and his handlers, subconciously encouraging viewers to vote for Obama (or against McCain) thereby undermining a functioning democracy in order to satisfy her narcissism and pad her bank account. Shame on her. I am waiting with baited breath to find out which lucky publishing house will pay Ms. Fey seven figures for a book that, as IOTBP points out elsewhere, will be written at the level of a 10-year old. Follow the money I will, if possible, when that deal goes through.

Please stop porting discussions from other sites to AST. People can follow links and join a given discussion in its original location if they so choose. Copy-pasting what you posted somewhere else and how someone responded is the epitome of bandwidth waste. I don't even know why this thread was started, except that I'm beginning to suspect Jenny is an agent provocateur. I would advise users (i.e. Jambalaya) not to answer her questions.
