    Have you tried Apple tv or Roku? I think you can get all the benefits of the DVR without having one, or cable.You still have to pay for the season pass, but it's way cheaper than cable over the course of a season.

    They do blackout in market games though, so that's why I never signed up myself.

    Is it too expensive? I thought FiOS was supposedly reasonable. I'd do anything to be in a neighborhood where FiOS's internet is an option. Their upload speeds are crazy.

    Fios is subject to state and local fees that DirectTV and cable are exempt from for reasons I'm entirely not sure of, so you probably want to add $20-$40 to whatever price FIOS quotes you depending on what state you live in.
