I really wish they gave Chalky more to do on this show. All of the subplots involving black AC have been really relegated to the sidelines and I want to see more. They teased us with a great couple of episodes with a lot of great details and back story on Chalky (that fantastic jail sequence, at the dinner table, the strike) but then dropped it. The klan bit in the finale felt forced and perfunctory. More Chalky and crew please, less a whole bunch of other gangsters I don't really care about (I'm talking to you Lucky!).

Well, they certainly wasted no time establishing Cannavale's character. When I saw him carrying that dog in the promos I assumed he'd be some fruity fop who let others do his dirty work.

Can't say I really missed Jimmy all that much.

Plus it kinda rings untrue that a lunatic with no impulse control could A. Rise through the ranks to a place of authority and B. Not get whacked previously at some point.

I think Pitt was such an insufferable asshole on set that they rushed to write off Jimmy without giving it a lot of forethought, I actually do miss the character now. And almost NO VAN ALDEN. Zzzzzz.

It always seems to take about ten seconds in movies/tv to snuff somebody out by pinching their air off. I kinda wish this would have been the long, drawn out 3-minute adventure of awfulness that real life would be like if you tried to suffocate someone.

Also: Super-duper penis party. Top shots at end reminded me of that Noe movie where the camera floats everywhere.
