Unprecedented endeavor. Questions, too many to express... why, for instance, do they need all of these people?
What's really that special about Black Widow and Hawkeye compared to the other four? I mean— A bow and arrow? Outside of his wit, I missed any hint of his value during his appearance in Thor. And she kicked ass in IM2... henchman ass. Impressive moves, a highlight of the movie, but really, the Hulk can throw forklifts, are we forgetting about this? Maybe they're just the much-needed line-toeing company men. Obviously Thor, Hulk and Iron Man have egos as powerful as their abilities. Well, that was what the movies were already about. So... is this movie going to be, in a meta-twist, about how ill-advised this team-up really is? Makes it all the more impressive that any of them would even show up at the same location, let alone consider it a shared base of operations. I think outside of the common areas there are some pretty expensive amenities. Just the size of the Hulk's bed, bath and toilet alone probably call for half a city block.
Don't be bringing that weak-ass shit into a comic book forum discussion.
A good super team isn't just 7 guys who can punch really hard, that kind of team is over-specialized and ill-equipped to deal with a variety of threats. Black Widow is a secret agent who specializes in infiltration and data-mining. She's there for when the Avengers need to figure out what the Red Skull is planning. Hawkeye is basically an assassin, he's there just in case the problem can be solved by shooting someone in the head.

Well, OK, we'll see if that pans out in the movie. It seems like an eggs/basket situation to put one person in charge of everything!
My view is 100% dealing with what will work in a movie. I read X-Men comics for years and I think the movies were largely game attempts at capturing about 40% of what's interesting about the material. Some things just don't work as live-action cinema.
And tig ol' bitties are better than guns OR bows.
I think that's why they don't get their own movies, unlike the others. If there's one this Josh Wheldon is good at, it's creating artificial family units from a bunch of disparate and unrelated group of people. Also, Hulk doesn't really have much of an ego, I don't think. He just wants to constantly be left alone, and then gets pissed off when people fuck with him.
Has anyone watched the animated Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes? I'm blowing through it on Netflix Instant Play, and it's getting me pumped for the movie. Kind of wish they would just do the Breakout: Parts 1 & 2 for the plot of this movie, though on second thought, that doesn't really make sense. What I'm trying to say is the animated series is awesome and possibly probably setting me up for disappointment with the movie.
I predict there will be a lot of explosions, crumbling buildings and sidewalks in this movie!
and no Wonderman.
Also, Black Widow is in there to likely turn on the Avengers during the course of the movie and be a secret spy for the other side, due to dubious means of her looking out for Number 1. I predict this will drive Hawkeye mad and he'll go after her as one of the sub-plots.
I have a hard time watching Marvel Animation Studios cartoons. X-Men and Spiderman were great in the 90s, but it's like the studio hasn't progressed at all since '93.
You guys ought to read The Ultimates if you want a taste of what this new Avengers movie will be like. Marvel's movies are primarily based on their Ultimate Comics line, which is basically all the classic Marvel characters rewritten for the modern era. Pretty awesome comics by a lot of big talents. It's an awesome comic, and it's available on Marvel's iOS app.

I kind of disliked those cartoons, they were cool but their storylines were abrupt and didn't make any sense to me, and resolved in really disjointed ways. I always preferred Marvel, but I gotta say the DC universe with Batman, the animated series, Justice League, etc were always much much better.
I liked it a lot. I'm now excited. (Boner)

XOWii is currently the defendant in a lawsuit that was brought against them from Network Marketing Superpower MonaVie. MonaVie is accusing XOWii of trying to recruit their network of distributors by spreading false information about their products and compensation plan. I’m not an attorney and don’t feel like reading through pages of legal documents so I’m not going to comment on this situation.

They are definitely doing a Season 2, the creators have even made videos previewing what's in store for itSpoiler:
All indications say October, 2011, but besides the creators reportedly saying Oct 20 at Comic-Con, I haven't seen an official release date anywhere.
That teaser had a loads of honest to goodness nerd speech impediments.
