Got an Apple TV for Chanukah - what can I do with this thing except download iTunes or watch Netflix? Anyone else have one? It seems like a fun toy...

You can link all of your Apple devices! My favorite thing to do is make my wife watch the Youtube video I'm watching on my phone (Airplay). It really adds a certain nuance to Downton abbey!
What else? If I take a picture of my junk on my phone, I can get it to show up on the tv!
NHL highlights! You can rent movies through the Apple Store. Door stop?
I got my wife an iPad for Christmas, and holycrapawesome now I want one as well. Both of us can barely keep our hands off the thing, and we already have three Mac laptops and an iPod touch. I have no idea how I have any money.
Any iPad users already have some favorite apps/games they can't imagine going without? And anybody else considering a "No iPad in the bedroom" rule because it's going to ruin your love live/sleep schedule?
I'm all about comics on the iPad. Every publisher has their own app, but because all their comics are delivered by Comixology you really only need Comixology's app.
If you have a bunch of CBRs for manga or whatever, you should also grab Stanza. Using Stanza and (on your computer) Calibre, you can easily transfer and read off-brand eBooks and comics to your iPad.
If you like Google Reader's general layout then you'd probably enjoy MobileRSS as a feed reader.
There are a few other video apps that accompany Netflix nicely. ABC, HBO Go (you need to have an HBO subscription to use it), and Adult Swim (need a cable service to see the Gold episodes, which span literally every series Adult Swim has ever aired).

Yeah and we just figured out how to convert our torrented videos to mpegs so we can watch them through the apple tv instead of through a memory card on the blu-ray which is a bit dicey depending on the codec. And the netflix interface is fantastic. This will be especially nice to watch stuff on my bedroom TV which doesnt' have any cable or anything...
I like Sketchpad app for iPad, and am just generally addicted to mine. I take it in the bathroom, bedroom... airport, parents house, wherever, etc. etc. with me.

About ten years ago, there were a number of CD-ROMs (and DVD-ROMs) that collected magazines or comic books. And it turns out that they were all just PDF files. So my iPad has nearly complete runs of MAD Magazine, the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, Dragon Magazine, and probably a few I'm forgetting.

I haven't used ComicZeal, but looking at its iTunes store page it seems more polished than Stanza. Stanza is laid-out like a very barebones ebook app, and has similar controls to Kindle/Nook/iBooks. Stanza's big selling point (apart from being free) is that it works with Calibre. I was already using Calibre to organize my comic library, so it made sense for me.

Ah, okay. I use ComicRack for cbr/z files, so I haven't worried about any kind of intercompatibility (although it would be neat). I just seem to remember that there was an app that was a strong rival to CZ, and searches in the app store aren't showing me anything that fits the bill.
Let me just add how pleased I am with my Ipad purchase, something I thought I would have no use ofor a year ago.
The comiXology app is dangerous (in a good way)! You have been warned. I went from not reading any comics to purchasing all of these in less than 2 months:
Awakening
Box 13
Dead Run
Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep: Dust To Dust
Ex Machina
Killing Pickman
Mirror's Edge
Planetary
Preacher
The Resistance
Shadowflame
Shadowlaw
Singularity 7
Syndrome
Transmetropolitan
Wanted
Ward 6
We3
Yin Yang
Y: The Last Man
IOS 5.1 update took about 30 minutes on my IPAD. And to my disdain you still can't delete photos from your photo album! It should be simple so what the deal yo!
If you click the icon on the upper right (in thumbnail view) you can tap to select multiple photos, then click the delete button in the lower right. When you are viewing an album you have created, you can only "remove" the photos. You have to go into Cameral Roll or Photostream to delete. Is that what you need to do, or am I misunderstanding?
I'm glad they added the ability to delete from Photostream. The lack of that was really annoying. Also, iPhoto for iOS is great!
Is it telling that no one has posted anything about the "new" iPad in this thread yet? I'm sure it looks amazing with a huge retina screen but overall I get the feeling other tablets are catching up and not making it as big of a deal anymore. (Full disclosure: I love my Kindle Fire and don't see why anyone would pay an additional $300 or more for an iPad.)
Also, what's Wozniak's real agenda with being first in line for it? Is he desperate to stay relevant or just loves seeing his name in the news or what?
Yeah, I'm the same way with my iPad 2. The new hardware features sound amazing, but I don't see how a retina display or a quad processor are going to help me enjoy my comics and ebooks more. And I guess new cameras are nice, but nobody is using their iPad as a practical camera.

I'm typing this reply on my new iPad. (And being a huge douchebag by pointing it out!)
This is my first iPad. I waited until they came out with one that had a highres display (it was inevitable). I'm glad it also comes with the same dictation tool that I use often on my iPhone. I agree with the camera being useless. But no buyer's remorse so far.
