Beginning of the year. Book hotel as soon as they let you.

That fucking disgusts me. Those assholes made me miss the one panel I really wanted of the whole freaking con.

Those assholes made me line up at 12am for the Disney 3D panel. Then I had to sit through the Twilight panel to see the Avatar and Dr. Parnassus panels. Next time, that panel needs to be the first one of the day. I'd say that 95% of the Twilight fans had Thursday only passes (that was the day of the panel). They started lining up on Tuesday for a Thursday panel. There's something wrong with that.

Hopefully you won over some non-skinhead fans because you deserve it.

Overall Comic Con was good times as always, highlight for me (Comic Con related) was probably the Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland exhibit on 7th Avenue. Mainly because there was no lines and I narrowly avoided the group in front of me with the wailing baby. If any Alice in Wonderland/Tim Burton nerd missed the exhibit & wants pictures of concept art, props, etc., I'll post them here or a drug-related thread (who likes pictures of mushrooms?!!! Shady Killer, I'm looking in your direction (sorry they don't have Doug Benson's face in them, but it could be arranged)).
Thanks a lot, Monge! I'm just glad you laughed. There is a real difference between the audiences that come out to see the comics you find at Death Ray each week or down the side of the front page of this message board and ones that don't have a clue who they're seeing. And it's a real honor to make them laugh when you know they have a well developed taste for the good stuff. Everytime I do a show like this, you can bet I sweat what jokes are worth doing for them.

It can be a little intimidating, but on the flip side, going up on a show with the people you mentioned also ensures that you're going to have an awesome audience. All of us backstage were remarking how no matter when we went up in the line up, the audience was totally right there with us, getting all the jokes, references, following all the points, not getting offended, understanding that these are jokes and not serious political statements that demand a personal judgment. It bears saying that is not something you find easy in comedy. It's a rare treat. There's no crowds anywhere in the world I'd rather play for then fans of the comics on that show. And I'm seriously not pandering. Well, not JUST pandering.
