Pardo + Pete Holmes = Better Than Ice Cream

I was glad to see Jon Dore on the show, even if the episode was a bit unremarkable.
It's a sin that more people haven't seen The Jon Dore Television Show. It's not just one of the best Canadian TV shows, it's one of my favorite TV shows in general.
I thought it was hilarious that Jon mentioned his ascended testicle. Reminded me of this scene from his show:
I don't listen to a lot of live episodes but after reading these comments I went back. Super awkward. Yeah, I totally don't think there was anything wrong with the question. I also don't think there was anything wrong with Jon not wanting to talk about it, but I don't understand his desire to tear the whole show down instead.
I loved the Aziz episode. I will admit I've never seen much of his comedy (love him on Parks and Rec) but the "just focus on being the best at what you do" advice really pumped me up in my own creative endeavors.

Didn't think the Kyle Kinane episode could ever be topped, but it looks like Pete and Chris Thayer did it:
Joel McHale's family was raised Catholic. His brother is an Episcopalian minister. That brother's wife is a Lutheran minister. Joel attends Presbyterian church. Sounds like a family that loves religion but isn't too concerned with the specifics.
Pete (and Kate) just did the most wonderful thing.
They made You Made It Movies available for non-iTunes users. Pete watching There Will Be Blood with PFT is a joy.

I was a little shocked that Pete hadn't heard of Terrence Malick. Especially, when you consider how much of an influence his style is on a film like Assassination of Jesse James.
Pete was hilariously shitfaced on morning radio in Madison WI earlier today.

Awesome! I hope I'll finally get to see interviews with my favorite comedians!
This exchange just cracked me up.

That will be fantastic no matter what movie they watch. But, I've gotta say, I wish it would be Devil Wears Prada.
Does anybody know what episode this was from???
I have been trawling through all the old episodes in an attempt to find it, trying to Sherlock-Holmes my way to victory by using the dates from posts in this forum to hone in on my target, alas I have not yet been able to track it down.
One of my favourite riff-chunks of all time.
AST forum users, please help!
I've tried searching the Internet for one other person that mentioned it, but I guess I'm the only person that did. My guess is it's from an episode very close to that date.
My guess is it's somewhat near the beginning of an episode, but I could be dead wrong.
Ahhh all good, many thanks for trying! I tried numerous google searches but your post was the only one that came up, that's the whole reason I signed up for AST in the first place haha
I remember going back and listening to it again the day after I first heard it, for some reason I felt like it was between 0:40 and 1:20 but I too could be dead wrong...
Having an ongoing discussion with some friends about comedy and I wanted to use it as a perfect example of a sandbox bit (playground bit? something like that). Plus I wanted to laugh again.
Your post was July 30 sooooo as far as I can tell the candidates are Rory Scovel, Tommy Johnagin, Jerrod Carmichael, Mike Burns, Dov Davidoff, Greg Behrendt. (These are all the July podcasts, though I guess it could've been June).
I know that nobody here cares about this anywhere near as much as I do but I'm sure you can all relate to the feeling of having a burning desire to find the answer to a nagging trivial question... If any weirdos want to weigh in it would be appreciated, I'm sick of downloading random eps and skipping back and forth hoping to find it!
