I just saw the teaser trailer for Year One- not the brief Super Bowl ad but the two-minute one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMgGnhPnSF4) - and it looks really funny. This scene with David Cross and Paul Rudd as Cain and Abel is great, as is the scene in the earlier trailer in which Michael Cera awkwardly tells his tribal chief that he "doesn't have a sword, I only got the holder. I didn't know... that's what it was for," as all the other tribe members brandish their weapons. (http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi3476816665/)
The change of setting strikes me as an interesting twist for the Apatow crew (loosely speaking) to try. It seems like their social misfit man-boy schtick is running out of steam when set in present-day yuppie America. But this movie looks like it will make Michael Cera (who often gets accused of always playing the same role)'s awkwardness and lack of confidence fresh again, since now he will have to interact with brutish, violent warriors rather than just another hot high school girl. That sounds pretty funny to me, and the trailer makes me hopeful...
