Maron said in an interview he's reached out to Rogen and Jonah Hill... scheduling conflicts probably, I'm sure they'll do it somewhere down the road. I'd love for him to get Robert Smigel (his career has been pretty prolific and he's been dicked around by the studio system as well) Plus I'm sure he's got great Lorne Michaels stories and early Conan year insights. Also James Downey or even more unlikely Senator Al Franken one those veteran SNL writers.

My dream WTF guest is Charlie Kaufman. He's beginning production on a new film soon, so I have my fingers crossed.

It's been awhile since we've had an 'on the road' show with Marc visiting some local tourist trap with a cool feature act in tow. I always love those. They are probably a pain to edit and make, though.

I'd like to Marc to talk with Trent Reznor and James Osterberg.

Marc literally wore that shirt for 2 weeks straight without washing it. Also, I'm in this too!

Just wanted to say that I could have listened to another three hours of Fred Willard. He's just the best.

You can get another hour and a half of him in depth via the Kevin Pollak Chat Show

Yeah the Kevin Pollack chat show is great if you really like the guest. Otherwise the eps all kinda blend one into another with KP saying the same stuff all the damn time lol. I think I'm just jealous cause I have a weird crush on his much too young for him girlfriend

Yeah, definitely guest dependent... but very thorough. Also, I enjoy Sam "The M'am" Levine.

I had to pause the WTF episode for a few seconds because I remembered his introduction in that video and started laughing. Great moment.

I wish the episode had been a two-parter. I also thought Mindy Kaling was incredibly delightful.

Re: WTF with Marc Maron (podcast)

    From the old Laughspin article:
If you heard the newly-posted episode of WTF with Marc Maron, you already know the comedian struck a deal to shoot a WTF-centered television pilot. The filming went down last week at his home and around his neighborhood. Television comedy icon Ed Asner plays Maron’s father; rising comedic voices like W. Kamau Bell and Sean Patton co-star– not to mention Seth Morris, Matt Jones, Erin Daniels and Angela Trimbur.

The script was written by Maron and Duncan Birmingham.

But, of course we wanted more info on what sounds like an amazing show. We can report that the studio in charge is Fox TV Studios and Apostle (headed by comedian Denis Leary and Jim Serpico) is the production company, and the show is executive produced by Olivia Wingate and Serpico.
So I imagine sean Patton or W. Kamau Bell play his assistant.

ahhh, Matt Jones, I think that's who it was. Matt Jones is "Badger" from Breaking Bad. He's also in Matt Walsh's movie "High Road" and a whole bunch of commercials.
