I bought a year's subscription to access all the episodes on the iPhone app. Also, you're a massive asshole and shut the fuck up.
I wonder if anyone here has an intense foot fetish, since I'm always curious who watches those footjob videos.
We're just asking weird, irrelevant shit, right?
Has anyone paid to see Marc Maron's feet?
JayKnox is gonna be pissed when he finds out people bake Marc delicious cookies & vegan breads.
Wow 2 people who paid for products. So far not a single free-will donation reported. Only the conservative type (as usual) puts the money where the mouth is.
I don't even care if you're joking or not, but I'm laughing, and I just made a donation to WTF. So, that happened.
(True story.)
I've been busy starting a new job so I just saw this and you probably don't care anymore, but there were a few reasons...for instance, other than his story about Kinison and the disastrous set that night, every other set he's ever performed seemed to have been greeted with standing ovations and praise from all who witnessed it. Add to that the comments about fighting and "kicking ass" and all that, and it reeked of overcompensation. Don't get me wrong, he had moments where he seemed thoughtful and intelligent, he just followed it up by saying something douchey. He reminded me of guys I knew in high school who would get in fights just to prove they weren't queer book-readers or somethin'.
Anyfart, been a great string of episodes lately. Enjoyed Kimmel a lot; it was nice to hear him in a longform interview.
You have no empathy for the kind of fighting spirit it takes a poor, unhip, morbidly obese man from (Arkansas? I think, I don't remember the state but it was a rural part of a deep south state) to climb the comedy ladder, especially now when more premium is put on looks and hipness in comedy than ever before? Its pretty easy to dismiss that as douchey and its most certainly overcompensation, but to be so dismissive and unempathetic of the dude seems to be against the whole spirit of WTF. He also talked about how all the comedians in Houston/Dallas (I forget which) hated him and he doesn't talk much about the beginning of his career. He also strikes me as the kind of dude who went gung-ho with pumping himself up with confidence and naturally
has a energy/voice/etc that certain crowds like and find funny, so I'd bet he started killing way before he had good jokes.
It just seems uncharitable to call him all that stuff and I wonder if you'd call him a douche or a prick if he was cut from the alt-comedian cloth (thats my own assumption, based on the use of the word douche and that we are on this board. It could easily be unfair, if it is I apologize).

No joking and I have two receipts for 1.99 and 2.99 to prove it. That's actually a little over $5 USD when all is said and done! So cheers to you and the rest of you have to live with yourselves. Hell, I think Maron is a flaming OWS-loving left-wing fanatic and yet I can appreciate (and support) what is a fucking amazing podcast that brought me some of the greatest audio experiences in my life.
Cheers to you for the integrity!

I like to think the "actually" is there because he was disagreeing with real math.
I like Kimmel but wish his show was a little better. It is only occasionally good, but frequently lazy with its skits n bits. At least he is the only late night guy smart enough to put the entire show up on youtube in easy to watch format where you can pick n choose what you wanna watch. This is really the way other shows should do this.
