I think Andy Richter's hiring and questions about which writers will be coming out to L.A. would be a good start for a new thread.

I anticipate a lot of topics coming up, including how well he does in the ratings, that will be specific to the Tonight Show.

It would also be a nice tribute to Late Show's great and brilliant run that we acknowledge that it's over.

Will this move really have any effect on what people will watch the show? People don't really watch it because it's the Tonight Show, they watch Leno, no? So Conan's fans will watch this, and some new people who can watch this before going to bed and people who don't know how to use the clicker.

I think yes and no on your assumption that people our fans of the host not the show.
Yes most of Conans fans will follow him and will not be devoted Tonight Show viewers because of regime change.

No because some people just want to watch something before bed and will out of some sort of habit watch the Tonight Show despite hosts changing.

it would also be worth noting that i don't think the Tonight show holds the weight it once did espically when the torch was passed from Carson to Leno. With so many late night options i doubt people really see it as the Marquee show it once was.
