Tonight: "Childrens Hospital" and "NTFS:SD:SUV" return to Adult Swim

Tonight, two of Adult Swim's most popular live-action shows return for all new seasons. First, at midnight, the medical spoof "Childrens Hospital" returns for Season 4. Tonight's episode, “The Boy With the Pancakes Tattoo,” chronicles the insanity that takes over Childrens Hospital after an airborne amnesia pandemic spreads among the patients and staff.

Then, at 12:30, Paul Scheer's police procedural satire "NTSF:SD:SUV:" returns for its sophomore season with “16 Hop Street", an episode that crams in parodies of various teen movies and high school TV series as the team infiltrates a local school to hunt down a kidnapper.

Let's hope that soon these 2 shows will be joined by Chris Elliott's "Eagleheart" and the Childrens Hospital spinoff "Newsmakers" for an hour-long block of spoof live action shows.

She was a blast. A very funny, charismatic lady with wonderful stories. It was more of a conversation than an interview. I just cut a lot of my stupid gibberish to cut down to her comments. She's incredible. Thanks!

Mulgrew is amazing on the show. The UnderKover podcast stuff this week was brilliant! The Stamps dot com ad! Oh man.

Yeah, the podcast in-jabs were funny-as-hell to us podcast nerds...Maybe I should ask Scheer if the seeing the last moments of his life through the dead man's eyes was ripped straight off from, or more of an "homage" to WWW...

I dunno if it's just me, but I've definitely been enjoying NTSF a lot more the CH so far this season. I don't think it's necessarily the quality of CH dropping or anything like that really, it's just that NTSF is so damn good lately.

I thought so too, but this last episode of Childrens Hospital had me laughing pretty much throughout the entire episode.

I was going to post these sentiments too! Although I do think Chidren's Hospital is dropping off a bit. A little too predictable? The first episode of this season was amazing and the rest pretty ordinary.

As far as CH goes, there are funny moments here and there, but it doesn't feel as tight as it used to be. The Madonna/Adomian episode kind of fell apart at the end, and last week's episode had scenes that felt stretched out to fill time. (The weird long pause when Cat tried to get the team to have fun - The dancing stuff). I dunno - I might be getting tired of the schtick. Owen putting down Chief as being ugly as poo, and lusting over the hotter, post stem cell version of her, feels like a characterization that doesn't fall too far from Huebel's own tree. (If you're less than stipper hot, you're lucky to get a hello from him. A nice, but awkward man around ppl outside his comedy/celebrity circle, protected from the public by layers of his own Twitter persona.)

But NTSF is super hilarious this year - even better than last year. Kove doing her podcast and interrupting to do a Stamps.com commercial in last week's episode almost made me pee. Kate really ruled. This show has found it's groove. It's really pitch perfect.

The theme music to Under Kover was also very reminiscent of the WTF theme, as was her spiel.

And the way she said "what's your beef?" I think she even said "do we have a problem?" I was waiting for her to say "So, are we good?"

I'll admit it - Childrens' "Behind the Scenes" was pretty funny last night.
