    The Thick Of It (BBC)

    According to Armando Iannucci's twitter:

    # New series of Thick of It starts on BBC2. Saturday 24th Oct, at 10.10pm. Will be repeated later each week on BBC FOUR.
about 10 hours ago from web

Not sure how many here care or have seen the show (I suspect a lot more have seen In The Loop, the movie that was a loose spin-off), but in my opinion it's THE best comedy currently going, and I haven't been more excited about new television since the final season of The Wire (and oddly, I think the shows have a fair amount in common-- the main themes of both shows are arguably institutional dysfunction, they just approach it from completely different angles). Surely deserving of a thread.

So the first part of the season finale aired last night and it was amazing. Series 3 has been nothing short of great television and for the past few weeks has trumped all the shows I have been watching.

Also, it's coming to DVD in the U.S. in September.

And yes, it is a great show.

"I'm bored of this. I'm going for a twix."

Oh boy is this show great. There are so many great lines:

"There's no happiness without order. It's a Nazi quote but it stands the test of time."

"Christ Fergus, we both know she’s a fart in a frock, and I want to waft her out of here."

"Sorry darling, I have to go - I think the bailiffs are coming to take away my will to live."

"You're getting a coffwee. A coffee with wee in it."

Terri equating Glenn to a week old balloon that has lost all it's air.

Any time Stewart makes the "Coalition" hand signs.

"He'll be back, like the shit Terminator" made me laugh at an indecent volume.

This last episode was like both specials condensed into one. So great.

"Will someone get me a fucking fanta!"

"It's one of the many advantages of living near an accident blackspot."

"These phones are amazing, aren't they? I've got an application that can throw grenades into people's dreams."

"Ben Swain, chancellor? He goes into debt every time he passes a sweet shop."

    THIS SHOW PEOPLE!!

"The Thick Of It (BBC)" is kind of amusing if you're familiar with porn acronyms.
