This premiered last night. Did anyone watch it? Should there be a thread for it?
The particulars: the show was created by Christy Karacas, Steve Warbrick and Ben Gruber. Karacas and Warbrick have done some animation work for various random things, while Gruber has written for shows like "Monk" and "Human Giant." Aaron Augenblick, who's previously directed animation for "Daria," "Wonder Showzen" and "The Ten"also works on the show.
David Wain voices the warden, with Chris McCulloch/Jackson Publick also part of the cast, and I thought they both did a nice job.
I watched it, but I'm not sure if I liked it. I didn't not like it, and it's definitely different than a lot of what's on Adult Swim. It seems to be a cross between "Sealab"/"Frisky Dingo"-type randomness and "Metalocalypse"-style violence. If anything, it reminded me a little bit of what used to play on MTV's Liquid Television, but I think in large part that's due to the show's visual style.
So to return to the top of the post, did anyone watch it? Should there be a thread for it?
