I love when any of these movies come out because then I download them for free and on a night when I am bored I test myself to see how far I can make it into one of the films before needing to shut it off. I think my record was 40 minutes into Disaster Movie.

    Re: The Starving Games

Haha, I've seen them all so I can give you my opinion on all of them:

.Date Movie- Undoubtedly the best of all of them. It actually has somewhat of a plot and isn't overly terrible. Almost to the level of a Not Another Teen Movie, but not quite.

.Epic Movie- The worst of all of them. It's literally just a bunch of scenes ripped off from other movies, like everyone always accuses Friedberg and Seltzer of. There are big chunks of the movie where they forgot to add jokes.

.Meet the Spartans- Not good, but a step up from Epic Movie. Around this time they started adding Mad TV cast members into their movies (Nicole Parker, Ike Barinholtz) which helped improve things somewhat. I admire that they managed to release this and "Disaster Movie" in the same year, at least.

.Disaster Movie- I'm embarassed to admit that there are parts of this I actually find funny, particularly the chipmunks scene and anything involving Nicole Parker's "Enchanted Princess" character and Crista Flanagan's "Juney" (a parody of Juno). On the downside, Kim Kardashian attempting to act.

.Vampires Suck- The best LOOKING of all their movies. It actually looks like the movie they're parodying. The actress who plays the Kristen Stewart role is pretty good, and gets that the key to these movies is to play it straight and not try to let on that the dialogue is supposed to be funny.

I imagine "The Starving Games" will probably be the same way, maybe even using the same actress? She doesn't appear to be doing anything else.

I never saw Vampires Suck (honestly didn't know it was the same guys) but all the reviews I read said it was terrible bu that the lead actress was way too good to be in that movie.

And I LOVE Not Another Teen Movie. It's dumb but the dumb that is enjoyably to watch, as opposed to these types of films.

Not Another Teen Movie was directed by Joel Gallen, who used to do all the short films on the MTV Movie Awards (back when they were good), so that may explain why it's better than the Friedberg/Seltzer films.

It also made jokes about the films it was parodying as opposed to just hoping the audience would laugh by recognizing what film it is parodying.

Nope, although this actress was also in "Vampires Suck".

Edit: Also, this is not coming out until 2013, so we'll see if waiting 3 years in between movies improves their sense of humor any

Heat Vision is reporting that Maiara Walsh has landed the lead role in Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer's The Hunger Games parody The Starving Games. Friedberg and Seltzer are the duo behind Date Movie, Meet the Spartans and Vampires Suck.

The parodies won't be limited to the world of Suzanne Collins' Panem but will, instead, incorporate other recent big screen hits like Marvel's The Avengers, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.

Walsh will play the lead, a character named Kantmiss Evershot. "Pretty Little Liars" actor Brant Daugherty will play the spoof version of Gale.

Shooting on The Starving Games begins this week in New Orleans.

Walsh's TV credits include "Switched at Birth," "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," "The Vampire Diaries" and "Desperate Housewives."
